Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite relevant and comprehensive with a good balance of theory and practical training like internship and moot courts. While the curriculum provides a solid foundation there could be improvements in making the teaching methods more interactive. This would help in better understanding and retaining the material. Exams are conducted every 20 days based on the subjects we have opted as per CBCS system and there are also internal test conducted between these slot days.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a first year law student at Saveetha school of law, for my BALLB course, the fee structure is divided into several slot, like my tuition fee was 2,50,000 an admission fee of 10,000; registration fee of 5,000 and finally a refundable amount of 20,000. Over the entire five year term I will be paying a total amount of 15,00,000 rupees as a fee. For each exam I have to additionally pay 800 as a exam fee. Students admitted through the Management Quota have slightly higher fee. On the other hand the students from SC/ST categories benefit from lower tuition fee. Admission
I choose Saveetha School of Law for its well rounded curriculum and modern infrastructure, adn practical exposure and opportunities. Compared to other colleges I applied to Saveetha School of Law offered stronger focus on practical learning and real worl application which influenced my decision. I applied to few other law schools, but Saveetha stood out with faculty expertise, location and exposure. I didn't face rejection from the colleges I applied to, but there were instances I didn't make it into some because of high cutoff or because the admission requirements were more competitive, which made it harder to get in. The admisssion process at Saveetha school of law is straightforward. The eligibility required seducers to have completed their 12th grade with 60% score. The cutoff generally depends on the exams score and overall competition of each year. My admission experience was smooth with clear instruction and supportive staff throughout the process.
Faculty
The best thing about the Saveetha School of Law is faculty-to-student ratio. The class is size is small with maximum of 30 people per class, this makes the faculties give us more attention on our academics. The professors are knowledgeable and bring practical insights into the classroom, especially in subjects like constitutional law and criminal law, Their ability to break down complex concepts and relate them to real world cases makes the learning process much easier. They are also willing to help students outside of class, which is a big plus. The course stytructure is well organised with a good mix of core and elective subjects. It is up to date with current legal field, including practical training like internship and moot courts. We have Choice Based Credit Sysytem, which allow us to choose our subjects and teachers based on out needs and plans. It is pretty helpful one, initially it takes time to understand this particular structure, but by time it becomes more useful. Exams are conducted every 18 to 20 days of time and all exams can be brought to an end within 4 years.
Night Life
The nightlife around Saveetha school of law is quite laid back, but there are places to unwind after long day of classes. The gym on campus stays open for evening workouts which is a great way to relieve stresss. The cafeterias generally close by 8:00 Pm while the library can be accessed 24/7
