Brief Review on The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law

Remarks :

I Wrote a clat exam, and applied to this college and was admitted, got through an interview with the Headd of the department, She Appreciated my interest in the subject and I was admitted to the class, on the very next day. I was very thankful for the opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The term exams were either in April and the other was in November based on the even odd semester, there were three months each between each semester exams. The exams depended on the subject and the faculty in question. Mostly the exams were moderate in difficulty standards and the marking scheme was mostly quite average as to the content and quality was in question. The timing of the exam however was not sufficient to cover the whole paper. Hence the student needs to be calculative on time and the content of the writing.

Placement Experience :

Students of the final year are eligible for placements, and the amount of companies with the intent to employ students for the University is quite high, not due to the recent covid 19 outbreak. the students missed their chances. the average package was 3.75L per month as each Firm or company differ in payments. The percentage of students getting placed is quite less as students have other plans such as independent practice or apply to government based exams or teaching as a profession, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I was a student who did not avail of any scholarships, but the various institution and government scheme based scholarships were present. There was quite a stir among the students regarding the increase in Fees and as to the number of fees being used for the student's benefit. But however such dissatisfactions died down as soon as the college took the necessary measures.

Campus Life :

The campus life is average as well as there were opportunities for students to expresses their talents in sports and other cultural activities. Social groups were completely restricted. The amenities in the classroom is fantastic perhaps the ventilation was a bit not so sufficient but air conditioning negated such problems. The library, however, was fantastic three floors, starting off with the ground floor where all books on law and other books are systematically organised and properly maintained and each student can borrow three books and same books can be borrowed only twice. The First floor consists of law journals and other case law compilations and constitutional debt books and separate sections for SC and ST book access and Previous year question papers. we can borrow these books and photocopy them as well on the 1st floor. Finally, the third floor is the digital library of which we can have access to research papers publishing websites and 4th floor is for dissertations previous year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of this university is specifically tailored to cater to the future needs of the students as there are extensive reading materials provided for each course. After the third year, you have clinical courses from which you can choose. I find this aspect very useful because, if you have picked out a career path, this might just be a value addition to you! As for the exams, there are two exams per semester a mid-semester examination for 20 marks, and an end-semester examination for 30 marks. Rest of the 50 marks are divided into research projects, class presentations, and reports.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course BA LLB to become an Advocate. The faculty is very professionally trained and we'll practice advocates. They are very clearly explained about their subjects. Faculties must finish an ML degree. BA LLB semester twice a year. There are 2 semesters in a year. And the subject was fully law-oriented. Not difficult but also not easy to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Law is my passion and aims because my only aim is to provide free legal and for all people who are struggling in their day-to-day life. In Our College, there are 100 faculties and 1000 students. Faculties qualification was ML, Ph.D., etc. And They are qualified by interview to test their knowledge. Their teaching method was awesome. it was very helpful to students to get legal knowledge. For each semester we have 6 months' time to study. Normally law papers were very tough But if we focus on class we can definitely get high scores on exams because this is a professional course we can get knowledge by practice method so they conduct moot court competitions etc to develop students' legal knowledge.
