What Students Say
Likes
- Teachers were super chill, interactive and to be honest over qualified for their jobs. Extremely knowledgeable which makes you push harder in terms of knowledge gaining. Great practical knowledge gained through certain projects given in internal exam
- The crowd... Consisting of people with different backgrounds and different parts of India . Gaining new perspectives, Bringing those various students under the same roof makes us understand how different regional upbringing impacts lives
- Exams and schedule were challenging...strict timings and attendance with difficult examinations challenged students to stay disciplined and be prepared for things which are generally tougher than what they seem like. Racing but makes you tougher
Dislikes
- Crowd...similar disadvantage because many come from spoiled backgrounds hence they would act a lil bit too much out of the box, which initially very boring and initimitading but eventually you would realise that most of them are like this
- Student campus life ...there is no campus life and they make sure you don't have one with so many assignments and new projects happening almost everyday. There is no campus so you have no option but to live like u are in a shell just college n home.
- many students...the specialization and the skill which teachers have I feel it would be impactful if the amt of students in a classroom would be lesser but somehow I don't blame the institute it's in a prime location and there are aspiring students
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes when I was going for the curriculum I was very leaned onto understanding management and key aspects of leadership. If nothing the course gave me an understanding how disciplined you can be ... being on time multiple projects as well as assignments . Sometimes they used to teach us extra things which were not even in the syllabus and then later on ended up cutting it so if that was better it would make sense . Exams were made common later . Like for example in my first year there was no mid term exams but 50 marks internal and this assesment was made by the teachers. But later they assessed it on the basis of a common 20 mark test and 30 mark internal. I think the 50 mark internal was much better because the teacher would keep those internal tests with his pace of teaching . And the 50 mark externals were difficult
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no scholarships The fee structure is 3 Lakhs a years to somewhere a little less or more than that. The high fee is because the professors are well read and have PhDs. There are no scholarships aids at all as this is a private college . I say this with personal experience...coming from someone who was actively seeking sorts scholarship
Campus Life
The clubs aren't that great tbh and as far as fests there are a few fests like vaayu and all overall it's quite the average campus life. There is no campus there is a corporate building where an hour some students of a different course are studying and then the next hour a whole different year's students . If you are interested in co-curriculars don't even think about coming to this college because you have to get hold of certain spots far and near to college pay for the facility and then book your spots for sports do your activities and pay every single penny for jersey travel facility and respresent a college which doesn't care and compensates and credits for absolutely nothing except for academics. There is a library but I don't think no one really used it much as far as I know because there were a lot of technicals involved in the process of taking or using tose resources
Admission
I got a confirmed admission from private colleges such as symbiosis pune and christ bangalore . They called it the npat exams . If you clear this examination you can be a part of the institute . But overall what I heard from my peers that nmims was overall a better institiute in terms of curriculum and work culture of students m this is the kind of advice my peers gave me
Faculty
• Very approachable faculty ...I was in st Xavier's and my faculty wasn't even that approachable but here I college they are super sweet ...most of them and are available for solving queries. The student to teacher ratio ofc is not that good many students ...for example like 50 and like a one teacher • I don't think there were any not likeable faculty it was just that there were disagreements which would happen in any facets of an institute or corporate world • 6 exams are there ... Every sem there are 6 subjects ...you have different teachers for them . The exams aren't easy at all ...second year is the most difficult . It is very relevant to what's happening in today's age in actual businesses . There are multiple students who fail the examinations and in turn they have to give a retest which they have to clear otherwise that whole year is deemed fail. •Sunny Oswal is one of the faculties ...he's extremely learned and is the assistant dean in that college
Night Life
Spots like 7 hills asiad for cheap drinking although 7 hills is also been redone now. Bar bank is also a good spot. Prithvi cafe 3rd wave were good spots to just chill w friends and maybe study too . The college library is quite big and sometimes the glass building is accessible for nmims students . So in the library we have a good area for students to sit together and study. It's actually resulted w me having great bonds w my friend also in that process of studying and all. As far as hangout spots no one can forget CG (Charsee Gali) it's called that since always... It's always been the most fun place to hang out w friends post college... Although it's near a nalla but cmon it was like the best spot ever. Nightlife will happen every Saturdays by some event organiser in college pulling the whole crowd to a certain club that night. For 2024 batch yes but since then there have been certain reports. I don't even remember any one using the hostel . FY 12:30pmTO 5PM SY and TY 7:30 am to 12
