Course Curriculum Overview

4

Civil Engineering Curriculum of this university mainly focuses on practical learning which caught my eye. The Curriculum prepares you well for the real-world. It has a mox of both and Theoretical as well as Practical Knowledge. One area of improvement I see is adding advance teachings Civil Engineering Knowledge and Equipments that are being used in the modern world. There 3 Hours of Theory and 2 Hours of Practical Classes per Subject per Week.

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, IOL, Mckinsey all offer imterdhip role for students. The various role offered are Software Engineer l, Bussiness Analyst, Engineering Intern etc. Also there are various project based internships that can be done under professors kn Summer and Winter Breaks. The task in these internships is to understand how work is done in Companies and the company culture and contribute slightly to the team. In project based internships you have to understand and help the professor on the project or research he/she is working on.

The Sports and Extea Curricular Activities in the campus is Excellent. All the Sport Teams practice on alternate days. Also the music and dance groups have practice sessions twice a week. Along with that different Societies have their Activities every week. The many studnet led Societies and Groups and they have a great impact on students life becuase studnets can pursue their interests or goals in their life through these societies.

Admission

I applied to DTU, NSUT and IIT. I got confirmed admission to DTU and NSUT. But I chose this college becuase it focuses on overall development of Students rather than just studies, NSUT is mainly focuses just in studies which may not have aligned with my expectations. I got rejected by IIT's because I scored less in JEE Advanced. My preparation was good but I didn't perform as expected during the exam because of pressure. The Admission process for DTU is through JAC Counseling. The examsl accepted is only JEE Mains. The cutoff is approx 90,000 for General Students. The overall Admission experience is smooth.

Faculty

3

The faculy to student ratio is like 1: 200. Most of the faculties are very helpful and very approachable. The faculties I liked are Mr. Kongon Aryan Sir, Mrs. Sumedha Ma'am. These faculties are vey helpful and always listen to students. The faculties I didn't like are Mr. Awadesh Sir, Mr. Khanduja Sir. These faculties are very rude and don't listen to problem of students. There are 6 Mid-Sem Exams and 6 End-Sem Exams per semester. Average 5% students fail to clear the exams. The course is somewhat relevant.

Night Life

5

University has gym facilities for both Male and Female. A huge Library is also present in the Heart of the Campus. There are many Cafeterias around the campus like Nescafe, Amul, Mother Dairy, Dominos, Hims Cafe, and Mic Mac etc. Hostel in timings for Girls is 11pm and for Boys is 12pm. The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
