Each and every faculty is experienced and has mastered in his/her field, there way of teaching is very unique and creative (using live demos and ppts)
Coding culture and entrepreneurial culture of the college is top notch

Sometimes the courses are not relevant and includes very hard courses to understand

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was pretty much on point and had relevant courses involved. few of th courses were shared across every branch like psychology, programming, etc. which gave good learning acroos various domains.

Class Size : 148Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, there is internship session for 3rd year students every year which provides summer intership to students. Companies are invited for the internship by the PIC cell and interviews are conducted. Students are helped in every possible way to land an internship.

Placement Experience :

We have a placement and internship cell in the college which is managed by the students itself and Annual placment and internship session in conducted which helps each student to get a good placement coordination.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Tuition Fees - 100000/semester Hostel Fees - 15000/sem Mess Fees - 18000/sem Tuition Fee waiver(Annual salary below 5LPA) - 66,667/sem (2/3 of tuiion fee gets waived) Registration fee - 1900/- Industrial Visit Fee - 3000 (once in 4 years) Sports & Gym fees - 3000/sem (for all the available facilities)

Campus Life :

Overall the campus had great vibes and culture. Each and every student and seniors are approachable and they help to get through each and every life situation and career situations as well. Facilites across the campus are great.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel life is the best thing in the college. Each hostel is well equipped with all the neceassory facility like Gym, Mess, canteens, Saloon, Stationary, Sports fields, etc. Food quality is good but not absolute great.

Hostel Fee : INR 72000 per year

Admission :

I got into IIT Roorkee by JEE advance and I prefered this over other colleges because of the culture within the college and its history for educational purpose. I also got oppotunity for other major IITs but prefered this.

Faculty :

Faculties are very cooperative and nice, they are easily approachable even after college hours. Generally there are 10-12 faculties for a batch who share their courses with other batches also. Few faculties which I liked were Sumit Ghatak Choudari (Best person to talk to just like an old friend, very cooperative), Pramod Agarwal (very experienced and talented faculty, his mentorship guided us a lot). There are multiple Assignments for each course throughout the semester and two major exam.

Night Life :

Nightlife within the college is great and safe. Everyone wanders around the campus late at night but nightlife outside the campus is not that great because roorkee being an small city closes around 10 pm, so most facilties are unavailable after 10 pm and there are issues with safety also.

Geniune Overall review for placements and overall life of 5th sem student

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placement from 6th semester. Companies visited our college -Google, Amazon, Accenture,Tcs, Flipkart and many more . These companies visit our campus from 5th to 7th sem for placement drive. Highest package offered -50 LPA BY GOOGLE And avg package offered is 3-4 LPA by TCS 60 -70% students gets placed every year My aim is to aim for a good placement from my campus, if not , then will go for our campus and startups.

My review of GEU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is based on the latest technologies used in the real world. The courses are structured in such a way that the students don't face any diffuculty to study and the entire course is relevant to the real world applications. The curriculum is comprehensive and makes it much demanding in today's growing technological world. The teaching method are more based in practical learning anf there are exams held twice in a semester as mid-sem exams and end-sem exams. The difficulty level lies between moderate to tough level.

The Unbiased Truth

Placement Experience:

You start sitting for internship companies in the 5th semester and for jobs in the 7th semester. The companies keep coming continuously. Big MNC's come every other month but startups keep coming every other day. The CSO keeps working till you are placed even if you are an NC student (have active backlogs). I have received an offer from HPE. There have been only 1-2 companies who came and didn't offer to any student. Highest package since Sept'24 (I am writing in Nov'24) is actually 40lpa from D.E Shaw to one student and average so far has been 5lpa.
