Life in SMVDU

Dislikes

  • The worst part is the administration running here they behave like students are there enemies they aren’t polite they do not listen problems students facing nothing else
  • Condition of hostel and mess is really worst here . Those students whose rooms are near mess area they can’t easily live in their rooms because of the smell and the food quality is unacceptable. Most of the students face issues sue to food and water

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well I choosed my course from listening to my parents and my elder cousins who had been in this same branch. But subjects are changed a lot now a days mostly subjects are like programming based but i choosed this branch because of communication part which was very less as I had imagined. Exams are conducted 3-4 times in a semester and semesters are usually not more longer than 4 months so it becomes tough to cover much syllabus in short period of time because you have to prepare yourself from youtube only because very few teachers give you proper notes

Placement Experience :

Placement scenario is not same every year . I didn't get placement and almost majority students do not get placement of my batch in all streams it's also because of the recession going in our country. But the companies that come here took girls only their focus was to balance girls and boys ratio in their office so companies were taking girls only very few boys were placed . Less than 50% students were palced from my stream. Highest package was of 10 lakhs and 4 students were placed in that company with a contract of 5 years only others were placed at an average package of 5-6 lakhs

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure in SMVDU is divided among Hostel fees & Mess fees Tution fees and annual fees Also in the first year fees is generally higher than remaining 3 years. Hostel and mess fees is charged per year which is 42000 approx in which hostel charges are 20000 and mess charges are 22000-23000. But the food is worst and hostel conditions except only 1 hostel they have miserable conditions. Tution fees is 66000 which is taken every semester and annual fees is around 10000 which they charge after every new year also when we take admission they take 10000 as security deposit but they say the refund it after graduation but no one from my batch nit even my seniors has received any amount . Those who get here through good je mains rank get some scholarships like there tution fees which is 66k is 100% off until they maintain their cgpa upto 7 and they have to pay hostel , mess and annual charges

Campus Life :

Your overall experience depends upon your friend circle if you are lucky you will remain in good environment with your friends . So I consider myself lucky in that case but if you ask about the programs arranged by college than do not expect much from college. In 4 year we got 2 fest which were like dj night managed by students and no singer or any vip gets invited you just dance on music for 2 hrs that's it. Library is good here and you can get a lot of different books without any problem but only if someone else has not took it . Sports events get canceled most of the times due to fights and ground is really big but not much maintained well. Students interested in music make their clubs in which they sing and play guitar only

Hostel Facilities :

B.tech students get to live in new hostel in first year which is good but after that you get shifted to other hostels which have really bad conditions but the caretakers are good there except one other are good and not rude there is no much pg nearby but 1 which is for mediacal studensts but students dont live there normally only when they are suspended . Hostel registration are smooth not much difficulty if you go little late because in the beginning there is a lot of chaos . For meal I would only one word is worst. Room has one single bed one small wardrobe one table and chair with one light and fan also there is no connected bathroom in any hostel. So you can assume the condition how shared bathrooms could be.

Admission :

Only reason to choose this college was this college is in my home town and it attracted me so much that i can come easily every weekends . Also the good part is road connectivity is ok here not much problem local buses go nearby here . Before I joined here admission process was different they conducted exam and those who clear get admission here and get the streams according to their percentage but when I joined here i got admission according to 12th class percentage. They have continued this process now because not much students apply here now

Faculty :

Can't say whole faculty is good or bad . Everyone in staff is very different from each other but 80% of them are so rude and speak badly with student some of them compete with each other that who can fail highest students in their subject in a sem . So you have to face such kind of problems here too but some professors are way much encouraging and supportive they also treat students very well

Night Life :

That thing also depends on your circle because hostel and college timings are very tide you can't leave campus after 7:30pm and can't enter after 8:00pm also you have to write a whole gate pass which includes all your details and you have to get it signed by warden and caretaker. Also these rules changes every year sometimes they make it lenient and you have get only caretaker's sign but whenever fights arrise among students then it becomes very difficult to leave campus. You can explore in hostel anytime but can't leave hostel after 10:00pm . But if guard is not strict you can easily leave you hostel at night also in some hostel canteens are also available where you can buy coffees are some snacks at high prices than normal

Course Curriculum Overview:

Computer science is an interesting course with a good job opportunity. The exams however are exhausting, not that difficult but exhausting. The question papers are prepared by the faculty itself and papers are checked by the faculty too.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible from 7th semister for the university placements. There are various companies that visit the university like TCS, Airtel, Jio, Infosys, etc. Some students do get placed at packages of around 5 LPA. My plans are to develop skills and apply for jobs outside university placements.

Placement Experience:

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically the faculty also does not know what questions will be in the external exams, so they need to cover whole syllabus and 4 months are not sufficient to cover the whole syllabus. I did not learn any practical thing there so it was the worse decision of my life to join the course. The curriculum only prepares you to handle the pressure and makes you really strong. "What will happen with 1 backlog now" They first need to know what is important and what can they skip. Timings were good but the last 2 semisters were taken in 8 months that was difficult to manage

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty and seniors are more cooperative than I thought, they create an environment for every student to learn a few more aspects in their domain. There should be some gap given in the time table, so that there will be less academic stress

Course Curriculum Overview:

• B.e./B.Tech is one the most popular course, i prefer this course with an idea of securing well paid job after completion of this professional degree. Also i was good in mathematics and science from the childhood. • SSM College is a private university with multiple campuses in India. It is known for its large student population and expansive academic programs. However, specific data on the faculty-to-student ratio may vary across different campuses and departments within the university. It can contribute to a better learning experience and individualized support for students. • Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching / research /industry of which 2 years post PhD experience is desirable. • Use multiple sources of data for each course. • Mid term exams were on time after completing 2 chapters from all subject. It is done before Major exams. It is easy to pass mid term exams as it is of 50 marks and pass marks is just 20
