Course Curriculum Overview :

In first year we have to study about every branch in 2 semesters so that we can have basic knowledge about every field and in rest of the 3 years we have to focus dedicatedly on our respective branches. But to get a job we have to learn skills from internet.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides internship program in end of 3rd year. But you can also apply on your own by connecting with alumni. There are many seniors who got internship in 2nd year through alumnis or clubs.

Placement Experience :

The placements are really good especially for computer science and electronics. This year only one of our senior got a 1.2 crore package he was of computer science branch. Rest of the branches also have a decent package 11 lpa being the average of all branches combined and also chemical branch has a 100 percent placement rate.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee is 1 lakhs per semester and 2 lakhs per year. The complete course is of 8 semesters so the 4 year fees is 8lakhs and if you opt for hostel then you have to pay extra 40000 rupees per semester.

Campus Life :

The people around here are really good and friendly you can make friends easily and there are various clubs and societies that conduct various events and workshops offering technical and cultural knowledge. There is also a fest called hillfair which has various cultural and technical events. It also has bot fights. The society here also conducts hackathons and electrothons.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is good it has gym, tv room, volley ball court, badminton court, study room. The mess facility is also decent they really focus on balanced meals. There is just one issue that the out time is really restricted you can't go out after 6 pm.

Admission :

This was the best college I was getting computer science branch in. This college has an average package of 21lpa for cse and the coding culture and alumni network is also really good. I wanted to get into an IIT but wasn't able to score enough marks also the cutoff inflated this year. The admission process starts with josaa and csab counselling once seat locked you have to come here on specific date and there will be seniors and faculty to help you through the offline process.

Faculty :

Faculty members are highly qualified with most of them being PhD holders and have published many research papers in their respective field. The course is of 4 years with first year includes study of all branches in 2 semesters and exams are midsems and endsems in which midsems are of 30marks and endsems of 50 and the rest 20 are internal marks given by professors on the basis of assignment and class performance.

Placement Experience:

Not sure but I think from 6th semester ur eligible for placements. There are lot of Companies that visit NIT Hamirpur like google , Infosys,TISCO and etc. Highest package ever offered is 1.75cr in CS branch and each year 1cr plus package are offered to cs students by different companies like google , meta and etc . The percentage of students placed is normally 80 to 90percents overall. And I also intend to get a decent package after my degree

Remarks:

Management is very centralised, and least bothered for the overall development. Though major steps have been taken for students involvement, still there is a long way to go, when management starts focusing on the overall development process.
