Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I couldn't get MBBS. But I am thankful that I chose this. The curriculum is the basic foundation for the profession. The difficulty of exams changes with the year. Each year the difficulty of exams is different for each subject.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Compulsory one year of internship in our college. No course fees during this period. A stipend of about 3k each month. A lot of patient cases have to be seen. Extension would be there if not seen doing your duty properly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Self financing government quota students have to pay 2.5 lakhs per year and management quota has to pay 6 lakhs per year. Developmental fees of 25k University fees of 7k will be collected during the last month while applying for university exams. Lab fees would be collected individually like 200rupees. Scholarships are available for first graduates, SC students, and OBC students but with certain eligibility. For 7.5 reservations, no fees since they studied in a state government school

Campus Life

4.5

Lot of books and journals are there in library. Sports and extracurricular activities are given importance. Student council is there but it is managed by staff. Projector is used in lecture hall. Holidays are few.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel rooms are quite nice. But no electronic appliances can be used. But we use the kettle. Food is just okay. You'll lose your appetite after a few weeks as you will feel you are eating the same food daily.

Admission

I heard the culture is good here. And patient flow is quite well which is really important for a student. We have to sign bond papers on the first day. Ramakrishna in Coimbatore is also a very good college. Since the cutoff was high.

Faculty

3.5

Each department has 5 to 6 staffs atleast. As we become seniors, staffs really becomes friendly to us. Exams are quite easy if we start studying from day 1. Each day one hour is enough for first year. Very few fails the exam.

Other Applied Colleges

Chettinad College of Dental & Research Institute, The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR medical university | Bachelor of Dental Science [BDS]

BDS include 4 yrs of curriculum and 1 year compulsory internship. This college prepares us well to face every ups and downs in life. I think more self study time should be given to the students and the college timing should be reduced.

Doctors are eligible int he fifth year as many private hospitals and private clinics are the ones who needs freshers regularly. The opportunity that is brings is just a couple of years of practice under someone and then you can officially open your clinic as well and that's my plan.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is like if you study dentistry then you are not a dental doctor rather you can also diagnose diseases. The curriculum provides you with much more hand practice and thus you can do any other things which you need in daily chores As far real-world applications are, a dentist can easily do any work bcoz unlike MBBS it focuses on your hand practice like wire straightening and POP mixing and making from moulds Difficulty level of exams is normal, frequency each after 3 months

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I love art when I was a child and this field is ofcourse called an artistic line. I also loved medical science so it fulfills the both requirements. Here we will be well prepared for our future clinical experience as here lot of cadaveric activity and real patient experience is there. The frequency and timings of exam are good and difficulty level is good. We get to learn more from the practical exams and the vivas. Overall it is a good experience.
