- I like the campus it is full of greenery but it is a long campus and u will have to everywhere even when you cannot. It has its own pros and cons.
- I like the food outlets we have many options for that in college.
Dislikes
- My own department which is psychology is not good in structure. Other departments are very well made and structured but not ours. It gives a feeling of inequality.
- The hostel services are trash. You don’t get worth for your money at all.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum was very interesting and relevant when i first joined. The syllabus is good but some faculty does not know how to teach is where the problems comes. It becomes very difficult to keep up with the attendance and at this point i am just here for the it not to study we are loaded with assignments and attendance so much, studying is not the first priority. Teaching methods can be improved and so does empathy which teachers of our course lack. We have exams every 5 months and in between we have test and internals.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am paying 97500 per year for my fees and it had not increased yet. Registration was 15000. There is some financial aid for children with high scores like above 90% or something. It is up 50% it can vary.
Campus Life :
We have Sagathan as an annual activity where we play all sorts of games and Amifest which is like a very big annual fest in amity. The library is very pretty and very big really gives abroad vibes. There are various things you can join but in my opinion they don't emphasize on it as much it is solely working because of students.
Hostel Facilities :
I did PG for my first year and did not like it at all they overcharge you for nothing and the food is shitty so you eventually buy for outside. It was near my college in a area known as balli. It's right outside gate 2.
Admission :
I applied in CU and got admission there as well as OP jindal. But then i choose amity because it was quite near to my hometown as well as it is very well known for my course. I did not get rejection from any college. The admission for my course depends on your percentage itself and exam is taken only in very specific cases. I told directly just through my exam percentage. Cutoffs for other courses are not that intense and you can easily get in.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is fine according to me for every class there are 40 students and1 teacher but not all of them are approachable. I really liked few of my first semester faculty but after that hardly anybody because some of them couldn't even teach and I don't even know how were they even selected and some of them lacked empathy. The curriculum is fine. The exams are average u can pass, most students pass the exams if you have studied decently.
Other Applied Colleges
Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Psychology)
Amity sounded a better option
