- The campus is serene and beautiful with fresh and green environment. The view during the evening is really pleasing
- The faculty support and guidance is really good here. If you are able to built good relation with the professors , you would be greatly benefitted
Dislikes
- The campus is not well managed. I mean they have a lot of spaces, still the infrastructure is so mismanaged and ill-built.
- The weather in the city is not something everyone can adjust to.
Course Curriculum Overview :
ECE as a branch to me seems perfect since you have all the windows open to enter into any domain of engineering. You have insights of all the curriculum and even companies are all open to ECE students. The branch is also very interesting if you are interested in core electronics. The insustry is also booming so the opportunities are vast.
Internships Opportunities :
The college provides a research internship of its own furing tthe summers where anyone from or even outside of the college could apply to. Appart from this, the placement cell provides with various industrial internship opportunities
Placement Experience :
The placement scenerio is quite good in the campus. Most of the studemts gets placed from on-campus placements, around 80-90%. Also the packages are also satusfactory. We are also encouraged to pursue higher studies and excell in the domains further for a better understanding of the subject. But it is purely on the students personal choice.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee for a general category student is 72000 rupees per semester, while it is lover for other categories. It is same for all the semesters. There are several scholarships provided for those in need.
Campus Life :
The social life here is very cheerful and busy. There are more than 20 clubs in the campus which includes music club, dance club, drama club, GDSC, Coding Club, Machine Learning Club, Robotics Club, E-Cell, Trekking Club, MUN, literary and arts Club, Gyaansagar(the social welfare club), Eco Club, Spiritual Club, Photography Club, Badminton, Chess, Basketball, etc. Also the branch societies are conducting various events. We have our annual cultural fest i.e Incandescense and the annual technical fest i.e. Technoesis. We also have other fests like poshua, oikyotaan, ugaadi. Throughtout the the year, various activities keep going.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are a bit poor here. For girls the rooms are less according to the numbers of girls. So we somehow adjust in small rooms. The food is absolutely pathetic with no hygiene. People keep getting sick here. So prefer eating of you own and only few thing after properly checking only from the mess.
Admission :
I tried applying for nits in the southern region of india considering it has higher rankings as well as success ratio. I dont have much idea about other institutes and dont know where would i have wanted to be in if not here. I could not recall.
Faculty :
The faculty is very supportive and helpful and they are always pushing students to learn apart from the course as well to gain the necessary skills required in the industry. There are two major exams per semester i.e mid sem and end sem. Between these two exams we also have a few class tests as well as vivas. We also have practicals in the lab whose marks also counts.
