Course Curriculum Overview :

Darrang college provides many co curriculum activities like football, basketball, cricket, chess, badminton and many more indoor and outdoor games like kho kho and handball, high jump and many mire which is very good

Class Size : 265Course Fees : INR 60000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our form fill up fee was overall 12,000 and semester wise 10,000 centre fees was 1000 .As Darrang college provided many scholarships based on caste and income certificates. As I belong to OBC caste there were many scholarships has been provided

Campus Life :

There were Freshers for all the freshmens students. the annual function, college week, general freshers and many more functions geld by ABVP and AASU party and there were also elections voting which is very much exciting

Admission :

As I studied my 11 th and 12 th in Darrang college my first priority was always Darrang college I applied in darrang college and i got in first merit list my percentage was 78 though it was tough the cutt off was high and i belong to OBC caste and also I applied to cotton college I got into that college but I preferred darrang college

Faculty :

darrang college was very good in many ways. canteen facilities was good but sometime ut doesn't provide healthy good. there were two exams in one semester sessional exam for 20 marks snd final exam for 80 marks and others for practical

My bad Experiences in the College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not a very good experience with the course structure. The course is very outdated. they even included history, environment studies, etc as subjects in the BCA course, which is very irrelevant. Even the notes, teachings and the curriculums are outdated.

Our course have up to date content and provide practical for each subject. For these reasons I choose this course. The curriculum builds essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical proficiency. And provides a strong foundation for advanced studies or specialization. These factors prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. Some course curriculum should be improved like real world case studies and interactive learning methods etc. The frequency of exams are good. The seasonal exams are held in mid term of the semester and end of the semester there is Final Exam.

One of the best Institution for BCA course

Placement Experience:

At the time of final years, there are companies like Wipro and TCS who visit campus for placements. The average package is 4 lakhs and the highest package till now is about 8 lakhs. About 30 % of students get placements from BCA courses which is very high according to other colleges. I will choose for MBA or MCA after BCA

Remarks:

Negative remarks aren't seen inside the college. However where is good, there contains evils too. Cotton University has been facing a problem of vandalism done by some drunk students and it's shameful. Inspite of such low percentage of illness, health is very good of this college.
