Remarks :
Negative remarks aren't seen inside the college. However where is good, there contains evils too. Cotton University has been facing a problem of vandalism done by some drunk students and it's shameful. Inspite of such low percentage of illness, health is very good of this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It's good. Exam is held twice in a year. That means semester wise. The papers are checked within two months and results are given out. Before it was given in CGPA, but nowadays it is given in percentage.
Placement Experience :
Job opportunity depends on how a student can improve in his/her own study and result. Many cottonian's has become IAS, IRS officers and so. The Assam state is influenced by Cotton college students. Most of the powerful jobs are done by them. This college doesn't prove internships.
College Events :
It can be said that in 365 days, more than 300 events are celebrated. Students get engaged there and work hard to organise. It is said that What Cottonians think today, Whole Assam will think it tomorrow. So obviously they have great contribution to the celebration of various ceremonies. Most popular are- ? Cotton Fiesta, ? General Freshers, ? Debodaru Freshers, ? ABEGE ? PROTIDHWONI ? MCB National Debate ? Saraswati Pooja etc
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees structure is feasible. However if you choose BCA course, it's expensive. Cause this course isn't funded by govt. It's a self financial course. HS course is given for free completely. In turn they get scholarships each year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Though I have not availed anh scholarships, yet I know about some scholarships that given by the college. Every research scholars get one time scholarship for their researches. HS, UG, PG students having a family income lower than 1 lac get scholarships from the college. This college doesn't provide loan to studnets.
Campus Life :
Every necessary department has their own labs. Those are in good conditions and needn't to run to anywhere for any lack of equipements.Everyone has a unique performance. Crucket, Volleyball, football, indoor games and any other commonly known games are played inside the college campus.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are good. The unity among diversity is seen very well in the hostels of Cotton University. You can have 24 hours of running water, lights, library facilites in the hostels. Also there is a very well defined studying environment.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are very helpful. They always helo their juniors at any cost when needed. This way, makes them the best seniors.Every year an alumni meet is organised. Where ex students meet with each other and with the present students. They share their feelings. After all it's the greatest feeling meeting such huge persons having huge governmental posts.
Admission :
Just filled up the forms online on the website cottonuniversity.ac.in and uploaded necessary documents. Then they called me for counselling and I got selected. I got admitted in the math's department and it feels good.
Faculty :
The present faculty is good. It can be said best if all the posts were filled up with eligible teachers. In this college, almost 150 vacancies are available including 98 teachers, bearers, chowkidars etc.
