Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted this course as I had a keen interest in mathematics. But after coming to this course I realised that it is more theoretical than analytical and it was disappointing for me as I always hated theoretical things.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college charge fees semester wise.It charges 25000 per semester with additional charges of 2000 for exam form fillup per semester. There are some concessions for students belonging to bpl category and they have to provide an income certificate to get the benifits.

Campus Life :

The college campus is on the positive side.It is clean and calm. There are cultural activities and sports week conducted every year but it does not go smoothly. There is always a fight after every cultural or sports event.

Admission :

The admission was done on the basis of graduation marks and an entrance test was held but it was of easy level. As it is a govt college so it has reservations like any other college.Exams are held semester wise.

Faculty :

The faculty-to-student approx 1:20.The faculties are quite knowledged and experienced in their fiels but they impart only theoretical knowledge without paying heed to the practical knowledge and that is why the concepts are not cleared.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum are good but it has no importance in own state for which the students have to go to the other states for their higher qualification and to get a stable job. It boosts the level of knowledge and intelligence in students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the course is relevant in every aspect. It included everything necessary for any competitive exams. They take presentations, make us do assignments, take us to study trips. The curriculum is doing very well in making us prepare for the real World. I think study trips should be increased and given utmost importance. There were 4 semesters in 2 years, so each semester in 6 months. The questions were relevant and important.

Entrance Preview:

IIT JAM, with 180 rank and got IIT Guwahati in first cutoff. So, after discussed with my parents, teachers, I go for IIT-G only.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good and being a part of M.Sc. course got offer from most of the college universities, like MDU, Guwahati university etc. Also, some students got admission in Phd after clearing GATE/NET exam with very good score.
