IIITD Honest Review

Dislikes

  • The tution fee is too high and it increases year after year
  • The curriculum is tough and rigid giving assignments and deadlines on regular basis

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course has mixture of programming, development and ideation of ux/ui. The curriculum has various core subjects as well as electives to choose from to level up our skills, but the frequent assignments and project deadlines could be reduced to reduce the stress on student. The exam frequency and timings are well thought of most of the times.

Internships Opportunities :

As of now, which i have hear from seniors many companies like google, amazon, oracle have came previosly for internships and also have provided with ppos as well. They have their set of exams ranging from written exam and then interview round to select the paricipant

Placement Experience :

For campus internships the studnet gets eligible after his 2nd year, i.e. when entering his 3rd Year and similary campus placements are offered after entering 4th year(for btech) , the placement percentage is around 70-80 % this year dye to recession while the average and median package hasn't changed much from previous years.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee is remarkably high with a hike of 10% every year, the previous year fees was around 450000 which will be increased by 10% this year. After including hostel fees and other mess related charges the amount for 4 year reaches around 22-23 lakhs. There are few scholarships awarded but either the student must be extraordinary, or extremely poor to avail them.

Campus Life :

Technical fest- Esya held in August, Odessey- Cultural fets hold in January, E-summit - Entrepreunship fest hold in march. A large variety of books are available in the library also having kindle support. The labs are well equipped with suitable technologies. Various clubs and sports related activities are also there but there is not too much emphasis on them.

Admission :

The eligibility of the course is having a aggregate of atleast 70% in your 12th Boards exam. The application form, fees and dates are all provided on IIITD's website and JAC Delhi website. The admission process is smooth and gets done with quickly if you have all related documents they have asked for

Faculty :

At our college the student teacher ratio is somewhat of a mixed bag. Depending on the course it can have a good ratio or sometimes the class may not have a good ratio. The proffersors are approachable after the class and also have office hours to clear student's doubt

Interview Experience :

There are 3 written tests through which you csn come to IIITD - JEE Mains, UCEED and 12th marks (for commerce students only), there is no such interview only time they interact is while checking your details and informations which you have submitted them for verification.

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
