  • Highly Competitive: The rigorous currciulum combined with highly competitive field can be a little stressful sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our college is well renowned for Computer Science and its research and it can be seen in the placements as well as the papers published from our college every year. The curriculum is well uptodate with the real world and also heavily focuses on projects dealing with real world problems. I would say its highly advanced compared to other engineering colleges in India and hence doesnot require much improvement. The exams are basically quizes, midsems and endsems and all of these have considerable amount of difficulty.

Internships Opportunities :

We do have internships and other projects in the summer vacation after the 6th sem. There are also considerable companies coming for incampus internships. The stipends are about 20-30k. Students can also go for offcampus internships according to their wish. Companies like google, sprinlr etc offer internships for roles like SDE, SWE etc.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements in their 4th year, i.e 7-8th semester. Well known software companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, Adobe, Amazon, nVidia etc.. Our college has 100% placement and around 32lpa as the average salary. The highest salary in the last period was around 69 lacs. All the 349 students were placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fees are too much compared to other engineering colleges in India. They do increase the fees every year like 10k or something. So like per semester, around 2.5lacs would be required for education including hostels and messes. They do provide student loans like SBI Scholar for about 40lacs and also there is a pay-it-forward scheme where one of the alumni pays for your fees and you pay the fees of another student after you graduate. I have not taken any roles as such since I have just started my campus life.

Campus Life :

We have lots of clubs for students to interact and to improve their hobbies. You could even create your own club. Felicity is held every year for about 2-3 days with lots of different performances from students as well as artists around the world. There is a compulsory sports course for 4 semesters which should be completed before graduation. This helps in making the students fit in and helps in their learning.

Hostel Facilities :

There are multiple hostels provided for both boys and girls separately. It's a basic room with about 2 occupants in a single room. All the basic facilities like hot water, safe drinking water, etc. are provided. The food is kinda average but compared to other colleges that I have seen, It could be considered to be top-notch. It's about 3k per month for hostels and 3.5k for meals. All the accommodation for the students are on the campus itself.

Admission :

There are different modes of admission in our college like Jee rank, 12th standard marks, etc. There is also a mode for students from foreign countries. You can find all the details about it from www.iiit.ac.in. There are no reservations based on caste. The admission process is a little bit hectic since you have to pay around 2 lacs if you have a course and have to wait for other rounds for upgradation. Also, there is 20,000 rupees as an initial admission cost.

Faculty :

All the faculty members are highly experienced and well-renowned in their own fields. These professors do their research along with teaching and they do publish multiple papers every year. All the professors are PhD graduates. Since there are only two major courses in our college with a small number of students. The students do get sufficient time to ask their doubts. There are also qualified Teaching assistants whom you can approach for your doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I think that most of us the course curriculum was outdated as it is older than the birth of the students According to my understanding I suggest you to update the curriculum based on the current technology and advancement in the industry requirements

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the old not updated overall since decades many subjects are included which are not practiced in real world. Theory subjects should be removed and practical coding subjects should be included which covers the real world applications.

Remarks:

On my personal experience, I would say that college is very strict and they have closed gate that is not accpectable. Even they will not permit you to leave the campus without the permission from the required faculty.
