A very good college for a decent rank in JEE

Dislikes

  • The infrastructure could have been a lot better
  • The placement cell could provide the students with a lot better opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is quite interesting. I always had interest in the world of computer science. The syllabus is very vast. The exams are held quite frequently which help the students revising the concepts frequently but at the same time giving us very less time for the same.

Internships Opportunities :

The students in my college,, and for that matter, the students of the whole university get good internship opportunities with some of the very big MNCs too. Many students start finding internships in 3rd or 4th semester only.

Placement Experience :

Placements are quite decent. The Training and Placement Cell can be improved. The on campus and off campus placements' figures are really good here. Students bagged up placements worth 60lakhs+ last year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is around 1.8 lakhs per year which also includes a book bank fee of around 8000. You will be provided books for all the semesters throughout your duration of the course. Scholarships and financial aids are provided based on the terms and conditions specified

Campus Life :

The campus life good. The college authorities are not very strict. There are many social groups, clubs and activities that students can take part in. There are technological groups too. Regular sports events happen quite frequently.

Admission :

The university used to take admissions through their own entrance exam earlier but from the past few years they've switched to JEE results. Now if you want admission in IPU, you have to get a decent rank in JEE to get one of the good colleges here. They have a Delhi quota and Other state quota. The delhi quota students gets a benefit over the other states'.

Faculty :

The faculty is very interactive and available all the time. The teachers are very helpful and kind. They are always ready to help the students with all kinds of doubts and some of them also go out of the way to help the students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Placement Experience:

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
