  • In labs, experiments are not demonstrated to the students. You are just given a manual and you have to perform the experiments on your own. No matters if you have covered the topic in your theory class or not.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Software Engineering is my dream branch. It graduates students ready for industry. Course curriculum is as required by the industry up to date. All the aspects of AI and ML are also been considered. Special project sessions must begin from the very first year of the college. So that students get more exposure to solving real-world problems. Exams are as usual, mid-term after the second month of the semester and end term after 4 months after the beginning of the semester. But the time between mid-term and end-term is comparatively less. The syllabus is always 5 units or 6 in some courses.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are comparatively less but are higher than other colleges of JAC Delhi counseling. The highest of 1.8 LPA stipend was awarded to a student. You need to score an 8+ CGPA if you want to appear for a maximum company interview but some companies allow students at 7 cgpa also.

Placement Experience :

For placements students are eligible from fourth year onwards. And for internships you can apply from third year onwards. A highest of 1.84 cr package was offered and average package goes to 15 LPA. For tech branches CSE, IT, SE average package goes to 20 LPA. This year due to recession around 55% students of tech branches are placed till to the date. If you are not able to crack placement within campus you can opt for off campus too.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Each year the fee is hiked by 10000 rupees. For example, the first-year fee for 2022 admitted students was 2,19,000, and that for 2023 students is 2,29,000. Second year fee for 2k22 students is 2,26,700 and for 2k23 students is 2,36,700. The total fee is set to around 10 lakh rupees. A scholarship is provided by college itself if you have an income proof of less than 4.5 lakh per annum. If you have proof of income less than 1 lakh per annum, your full fee will be waived off. Delhi government also provides scholarships which you can avail from the E-district portal. I am a second-year student and I have not applied for any job or internship yet.

Campus Life :

The most famous annual fest Engifest, occurs in the month of Feb-March. Also, famous fests like Yuvaan and TechFest of DTU happen in Feb. There are some other tech-fest also like Vihaan and Different Hackathons organized by Different societies of the university. Each classroom has its own projectors and smart boards and centralised air conditions. One can visit the sports complex any time of the day, you be a hosteller or a day scholar. There are many playing courts in the complex like basketball court, volleyball court, cricket ground, football ground, indoor Table tennis court, and badminton court. It has a gymnasium also.

Admission :

There is a reservation of 85% for Delhi students. To be admitted to DTU, you must crack JEE Mains with a decent rank and you can get into it easily. For the cutoff of previous years, you can visit the college Pravesh site. You can be admitted to the college by applying for JAC Delhi counseling. EWS certificate should be for the current financial year. Mid-term exams are 1.5 hours and half of the syllabus is asked. End Terms are 3 hours with the full syllabus. Mid-term goes for 1 week and end term can extend upto one month.

Faculty :

For every 20 students, there is a faculty. It depends on your department also. In my department, the Department of Software Engineering, the number of teachers is less. Hence the faculty-to-student ratio decreases here in this particular case. But departments like CSE, ECE, and EE have many faculties. Faculties here are experienced enough with at least experience varying from 3 years to 30 years and more. They have good mentorship techniques. One can easily interact with their faculty in their cabin personally or in class socially.

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
