- Campus is clean, its a lush green 300acre campus which is very nice nature wise.
- Hostels are well equipped with Lan ports, we get around 80mbpd speed, which is nice.
Dislikes
- infrastructure is not upto the mark. hostels are also not well maintained (H1 , H5, H6)
- physics lab does not have equipments that are working correctly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My branch is AI/ML , its goot to have a branch according to the future, as AI is going to be a revolutionary movement. In furst year we have exactly same syllabus as of COE & IT branch, C , Python, HTML CSS JS. we ere also studying physics chem in our first year which was completely not necessary, we should've been taught engineering .
Internships Opportunities :
summer internships are available for 3rd year studnts and 2nd year students can also partake. we have 2.5 month long summer vacatiions for internships only. amny compnies like, google, microsoft, amazon, flipkart, oracle etc vists our campus and few PSUs too, L&T for core branches . stipend varies from 915k to 1.5laac per month),
Placement Experience :
Placements are usually good in here, like last year we have something arounf 80% placemnet percet, while COE/ IT brancehes had above 95% , whch average of 20lac per annum, ECE also had average of 17lac per annum with 14lac as median package. but this recession hit the college that had affected the placements this year, only 50% of students gets placed , but theres no doubt rest of the student will get jobs as they have a NITian TAG with them
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Its an NIT, govt gives benifits for reserved candidates and econimical weaker sections, if income is less than 1 lac or if u are an SC/ST student u get 100% remission in your tution feees, if ur income is less than 5 lac then u get 2/3rd remisssion on tutuion fees, there are some other charges too, which we have to pay full by all students, like library insurance, examination etc, so complete fees is like arounf 92000 fo general, and 32000 for SC/SC , less than 1 lac and 52000 for below 5 lac.
Campus Life :
TECHSPARDHA i sthe technical fest of nit kurukshetra, it typically helds in march, it feature svarious coding compettions, workshops , guest lectures and exhibitions, CONFLUENCE is the cultural fest of nit kurukshetra, it helds in october, it features various competions like dancing, singing, fashion show etc, its full of joy. the library is fully equipped with the resourced for the academics for the stident and faculty as well, we have access of livbrary to study full 24*7. classrooms are well equipped with ACs, smart board and wifi systems. we have a numerous amount of clubs and societies in our college that helps in personality development and also for skill development.
Hostel Facilities :
1st year gets a triple sharing room, equipped with 3 beds, 3 almirahs, and a joint table suffcient for 3 people, food is ok ok here but menu looks great but not the actual food. after 1st year we all get our personal single room , we can also opt for double sharing if u want. mess fees is around 30000 oer semester, and room rent is around 4000avg per semester.
Admission :
u give JEE mains , need to score above 75% in ur 12th class, then apply for josaa counselling, fill up ur preferences of colleges there, according to ur score and cutoff u will be alloted a seat in a college.
Faculty :
the branches are well divided into sections and subsections, so faculty to student ratio is nice, 60 students in 1 section, also when we have labs, we have 12-15 students in 1 sub-section, so we get 1 teacher for 15 students in labs, thats also a nice thing. faculty here are well qualified and have a nice interaction with them (exceptions sare everywhere). we can go to the faculty's office anytime we need some suggestions just call them and schedule a time for the meet.
