Dislikes

  • As it is the no. 1 Government University in Haryana , but the infrastructure was too poor as the departments of computer electrical and electronics are in the old building constructed in 1960's and sometimes ceiling falls case rises in these deptt.
  • The campus life was not great. The overall size of the campus was too small constructed in just 27 acres. Hostel facility is just for the girls not for the boys. Even the college standard cafteria is just opened few months ago.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As the major students gets their branches according to their Jee mains rank. My reason was also this . I choose mechanical Engineering as this University is known for its mechanical engineering. THe facilities are good the department have all the labs and infrastructure for the Students . The curriculum helps in real world applications as the subjects i have passed have application in my summer internship as my fellow interns are suffering from this. The course curriculum i think was perfect some more industrial level subjects should be taught and learning should be more application based then it was way more perfect.

Internships Opportunities :

When the placemnets starts several companies offers intern for the 6 months during the 8th sem as part of the curriculum with stipend ranging 15k to 1lakh depending upon the company. from the 2nd year projects have to be made by students to get technical knowledge.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester the stdunets become eligible for the placements and the companies starts visiting the campus. The more than 200 companies visit the campus and almost every company made on offer . The overall placement percentage was more than 90 percent . The Highest package was 60LPA offered by CRED to an IT Student. The average of CS Department was 9 LPA and for the core it was 5.5 LPA

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fess hikes every year. I observed the hike of 10000 per year as my juniors told there fees was more than my fees. The complete cost of eductaion during my year is approx 4 Lakhs but now i thinks it will be 4.5 Lakhs excluding hostel for girls . The boys reside near the college which also charges near 1 Lakh for one year based on the expenses. The schlorship was offered by the state government for the SC and BC students having income less than 2.5 Lakhs per annum. Several merit based scholarships too offered. some private companies also offers scholarships based on financial condition of the student.

Campus Life :

The annual and technical fest named ELEMENTS CULMYCA typically held in September. LAst fest was held in 2k19 and from that no fest is being conducted in this college. The range was quite large in LIbrary and accessibility of books and journals available in the library are quite good. you can also use the Elibrary to read a book from any location any time. There are various technical and cultural societies and clubs are present almost 22 clubs. Each club brings various curricular activites. I am also Joint Secretary of the Mechnext The Mechatronics Society of YMCA and enhances technical and personality development of an Individual.

Admission :

The eligibility for the Engineering you should have passed 12th class with 75% marks aggregate and have JEE MAINS entrance examination. The admission was given on the basis of JEE MAINS Rank. The counselling was conducted by HSTES having 2 online rounds after that the physical counselling was conducted on the left over seats according to jee mains rank which form was to be filled from the jcbust.ac.in official site of the University.

Faculty :

I dont have the exact no. of faculty to student ratio but in every department faculty are quite good and graduated from the very reputed colleges of our country. All the faculties having proper vocational and practical knowledge of their subject and try there best to understand the topic to the students. As the class length was not that much for CE and ME 140 Students and For the rest of the branches class strength is 60 students. I personally interact with teachers for my mentorship for various internships and opportunities and approcahibilty was too good. Sometimes i Just call the teacher and ask the query , they answer it very helpfully .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choose this course to become a Data Scientist and have lots of interest in computers. Faculty members are good but not more than because they are not doctorate. The way teaching of faculties is good. Faculties qualifications are only postgraduate only some of the teachers are doctorate. The way of teaching faculties is good. It is normal to pass the exams if you prepared well.
