- The campus is safe , and there are good public transportation options.
- The diversity on campus foster a rich culture exchange
Dislikes
- The administration process is slow sometimes
- The syllabus is not up to date due to which a student can't depend on only college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I would rate the course curriculum average because it is not up to date according to present needs, for example, 1st semester computer engineering students have to learn about engineering practices which consist of welding, carpentry, etc. A student can not depend on the curriculum for the real-world, he/she must learn on their own. There are way too many exams 2 mid-sem examinations and 1 end examination and teacher assessments also.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in first year currently so I don't know that much about the internship opportunities but there are good internship opportunities as i heard from the seniors . The internship is provided in the 3rd year but this rule may change.
Placement Experience :
The overall placements for the undergrad course is very good , Students become eligible for placement in 7th semester . Many companies visit for example infosys , amazon, microsoft, mathworks ,etc. The highest package offered this year was from computer engineering branch and was 60 lpa and average package is around 15-20lpa, The percentage of students getting placed was low this year because of recession and was almost 50-60 percent of eligible students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is very good and considering other colleges it is low. The fee for general category is almost 60-70 per semester and fee may vary with the category and income criteria. The hostel fee is same for all and is almost 30-40k per semester.
Campus Life :
Mainly two fests are held : 1.) TECHSPARDHA (Technical Fest) happens in JANUARY 2.) CONFLUENCE (cultural fest) happens in october . The campus is very good and very large around 300 acres of land and it gives very pleasant vibes . There is market from where you can buy all your accesories and there are 2-3 canteens which are also very good . The sports facilities are very good. There are many clubs technical and non- technical which provide a good support to freshers.
Hostel Facilities :
In first year the hostels are triple seater (for boys and single seater for girls) and they are good and in 2nd ,3rd and 4th year the rooms provided are single seater which are not in good condition. The mess food is good but sometimes it turns out to be bad
Admission :
You have to give JEE MAINS examination for the admission in UG courses and the counselling is done through JOSAA. For securing a seat in a tech branch you must have 98-99percentile in JEE MAINS . The application form is available at NTA website .
Faculty :
The faculty-to-student ratio is slightly higher i.e. almost 1 to 40(approximately). The faculty teaches according to the curriculum and there are some professors who go beyond the limit of academics to give maximum info to the students, but some faculties are very strict (which is not a con). The teachers can not be contacted directly, to reach them firstly the class representative must ask for a meeting.
