- I liked the atmosphere the management and faculties create for students to compete with each other
- I liked the hostel facilities, specially for boys, we do need a little space to play and do some activities for which they provided sports equipment and all.

- Sometimess the management don't respond to our queries, we do understand it's difficult to handle such a large number.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As Chandigarh University is NAAC A+ certified university, they follow certain norms to decision the curriculum every semester, They also make us do a MOOCs course, in which we can do a certification course of our own choice. And if we talk about our academic calendar, 4months are given to classes and exams, 1 and a half months are given to Industrial visit and events.
Internships Opportunities :
As a mechanical engineer, I wished to work in automobile company and that was fulfilled by the campus. Last year, companies like Mahindra, L&T, MG motors, Yamaha, Shalimar Paints and many more have come for internships opportunities for positions like R&D, production and many more. The average stipend offered by them was 25000/-.
Placement Experience :
Chandigarh University provides placements and I think in North India, it's the only university to guarantee 100% placement for the students. For placement, we need to clear out the 6th semester without any backlogs. Companies like Infosys, L&T, Mahindra, Shalimars Paints and many more have visited during my period with an average package of 7pla, and the highest package was 11LPA. My plans after my degree are to get a job and then pursue MTech after 3 years.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For mechanical engineering, during my admission, they were charging 80000/- per semester with a scholarship of 50%, which makes it 40000/-. A scholarship is awarded based on the entrance exam or marks of 12th and 10th. One scholarship is given through the entrance exam, and the amount of scholarship is decided by the rank scored by an individual in the exam. And if someone fails the do well in entrance, they all are given scholarships on the basis of 12th and 10th percentages for example, I have 90.6% in 10th and 93.8% in 12th so I availed a scholarship of 50%, that is 40000/-.
Campus Life :
About campus life, yeah it's pretty much well organized like first two months are dedicated completely towards studies and after mid term we organize our own fest and sports events. People who are interested in research work, they can also work in Kalpana Chawla Space Research center.
Hostel Facilities :
I has alloted to a room of 4, it was pretty much spacious with an attached bathroom. And our warden was well-mannered and supported us if we faced any problems. To avail of hostel facilities, you need to apply it before admission and you have to half payment for reservation of room. And the food was top class we can say, there is a time table that is followed by the mess incharge.
Admission :
The admission process was as simple as it can be. Cut off for the entrance exam was relative, like relative to the highest mark scored. Aspects I didn't like was they didn't arrange any induction program for the parents because the parents needs to trust the university before the student.
Faculty :
I am a Mechanical Engineer student, if I talk about about my department, the ratio of faculty to student is 1:8 which is great I think. They all have completed M.Tech and Ph.D. studies at reputed universities in India. Our HOD also has 6 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, through which he encouraged us to expand our vision and knowledge. They all are well mannered and they are well instructed by the department to look after the theory ad practical knowledge respectively.
