  • The college campus is OLD and you will feel it as there are certain parts of the campus that could use some renovation as amenities

Course Curriculum Overview :

Being a English Literature student, the course, as prescribed by the university, is comprehensive and detailed, the curriculum provides various opportunities for students to furthet their interest in the subject and move ahead in their careers. There is an abundance of readin material and course material which really does help in understanding the texts and related concepts in an in-depth way. The faculty at the college do make some of the most boring texts into interesting lessons by engaging us in various assingments and even extra curricular activities. The course ranges all the way from ancient greek epicsto moder cinema and literature. Exams are held at the end of each semester once in Dec/Jan and once again in May/June. They are midly difficult but a thorough understanding of the texts makes it easy.

Placement Experience :

Various MNCs visit the college every year and it does provide very good opportunites for the students to get placed and get a fair enough starting positions. The average package is around 8-10LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee annually for a non-resident student (day scholar) is around 45k, which is to be paid in two instalments one in each semester. Resident members do have to pay extra obviously as they live and eat there. While being expensive the college does offer a number of scholarships and financial aid throughout the year on the basis of merit in order to help those with weak financial backgrounds. Most of the scholarships covers all of the fees including the fees of residence.

Campus Life :

The college is an inclusive and safe place where people from all over the coutry with various skill sets and diverse backgrounds come together, it provides for an excellent opportunity to make real and irreplacable friends and social connections. Most of the societies have events year round which provides for a packed and enriching college life most of the annual (nig) fests happen in the months of winter from February to April. The college library has abundance of reading materials and books, thousands of them at least, along with that the college does also provide e library access to a bunch of sites. The college has excellent sports facilities we have a dedicated sports centre including a football ground as well as a separate cricket ground, basketball court, gym, badminton court, table tennis and much more.

Admission :

All admissions to the college now happen through the CUET exam conducted by NTA, but as it is a christian minority college, 50% of the seats are reserved for the christian students, this along with the fact that there are very lmited number of seats makes the cut off very high. For UR(non-christian) candidates the cut off is usually around 780-790+ for arts courses and for sciences it is a bit low, the college does offer reservations for SCs AND STs and hence the cut offs for them is relatively lower but it is still 700+ in most cases.

Faculty :

The faculty members here are very well qualified and learned and often present genuine interest and passion in their feilds of study, the average student to teaher ratio is 1:15 as often the lecture and tutorials are taken by separate members of faculty and hence the teachers are able to focus on the students individually and on a personal level. Most of the faculty are in one way or the other former students of the college or have associated with the college for a very long time and hence it allings with the rich stephanian culture. The teachers are very approachable be it a junior faculty mener or the HOD they are always open to discuus, talk and enage with the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course was good for me as I'm preparing for the upsc civil service examination so political science helped me a lot in my optional subject. Through my curriculum I got to know many theories and approaches that we can see in our daily lives and as I just said I want to go into bureaucracy so it is helpful for me. There is no improvement needed as such because my professors were actually so good. We used to have monthly tests for our internal and semester examinations which were on average neither easy nor difficult.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is below average placement in this college. Students almost opt for higher studies. But still there are many companies which visits but they offered on an average 3 lakh per annum package. Only 20% students got placement and rest of them opted for higher studies. My plan was clear at that time to go for research in economics

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a lover of English as long as I can imagine. Being in Miranda only brings me closer to my beloved, as each one of my professors only seem to strengthen my affection of the language and for the literature it offers. It teaches you in abundance about how the world used to work and how it works today. One who studies english shall never ever fail to navigate their way through life. Considering the examination, if you have it in you to look at things beyond their exterior, you'll ace this subject. Though, I must state that being a subject course, it takes a little more than "one to two days before exam studies" to score a CGPA higher than 8.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we can see , teaching method depends on old teaching that is reading and writing, professor comes and read the paragraph of the book and meanwhile students are noted it down...while some teachers prefers to practical learning other than this. The course that is selected by the students having career itself but we have to take notice that it's matter of opportunity gives to them.

See In our Admissions process We get to See many changes in the Admissions process and then the Education process like implement of New Education Policy 2020 which makes us deal with so many subject which are 7 in number and but talking about my college the teaching methods of the faculty members mainly based on the orally explaining the things or teaching through visuals like PPT which some How help us to understand the in a good and proper way. Talking about Curriculum through NEP2020 it give exposure to learn the different different subject according to our wishes and it also help ua that we are not only engage with one subject we are learning many thing from one places so I am happy with Curriculum and faculty members of my college.

Third-year students are eligible for campus placement opportunities. Some of the companies that came to our college are PlanetSpark, RSVI, IDFC First Bank, FNP, Zoconut, etc. The highest package offered for our course is around 10LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA for positions like a translator, editor, content manager/creator, etc. However, the placement percentage of our college/course isn't that high. The average percentage of placement in our college is approx. 40%. My plan after completing the degree is to have a job alongside my Masters.
