The fee annually for a non-resident student (day scholar) is around 45k, which is to be paid in two instalments one in each semester. Resident members do have to pay extra obviously as they live and eat there. While being expensive the college does offer a number of scholarships and financial aid throughout the year on the basis of merit in order to help those with weak financial backgrounds. Most of the scholarships covers all of the fees including the fees of residence.

The tuition fee in comparison to other central universities like JNU, Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University etc. is very high. For example, if you are paying 50000rs for the whole three-year BA course in Jamia Millia Islamia, you have to about the same but for just one year here in St. Stephens College. Even if you compare the fees with colleges in the same university that is Delhi University, the fees is still high. Many internship opportunities are there on campus too such as being an intern for the vice chancellor etc. where you are awarded with very small stipends such as 5-8k per month which is still ok for a student.
The fee structure is slightly more as compared to public colleges but not expensive and the cost of study at St, Stephens College is affordable as well. The college offers various scholarships to meritorious students and even financial assistance with the campus placement cell providing students various internships to and job opportunities to sustain themselves and gain experience,
We never get our syllabus on time. It is not the fault of the college. It's the fault of the University. The syllabus is quite interesting. I love lectures by Prof. Smita Gandotra. She's so knowledgeable and extremely intelligent.
Teachers in our college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They spend the valuable time with the students and make them learn every concept. Teaching quality was also excellent. They provided all type of knowledge about every topic of chapters.
I have friends from both St. Stephens and JMC. Here are a few of the information that I got from them.
Now coming to the courses, in English honors, you will learn about a myriad of texts from different countries and different time periods. However, you will have to spend your three years around poetry and prose. You won’t get to experience much diversity when it comes to subjects. For the BA program, however, you can choose all subjects from Social Science. There are many combinations that you can opt for.
So, I will suggest that you choose the program which will keep you interested for the next three years. College life will be similar irrespective of the institute. Also, gone are the days when students with honors degrees were treated superior to the students who pursued programs.
