Remarks :

Ranking 33 in NIRF rankings this year KNC is one of the bests that DU offers. The staff and faculty are very good at KNC and so is the infrastructure. The only downside of KNC is that there is no provision for students who are not residents of Delhi and PG is expensive. Still, if you get the option of choosing KNC don't lose it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to choose psychology as my career option and KNC is known for its psychology department. The faculty is very good at you will not get bored of your subjects. The teaching method is also very good and we get highly qualified staff. Exams are only difficult to pass if you don't study on regular basis.

Internships Opportunities :

We have students working in inter globe tech. Encore , NGOs , Pactera tech. Page industries etc. It provides various opportunities for introspection and personality development. It builds a positive mindset.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements in the last year of graduation. About 15 companies provided a range of jobs for different degrees. The highest package was around 7 lakhs while the loss was approximately 3.5 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course affordability is great. The course fee is not too much including the books and stuff. There are fee concessions for those who avail of it only if you provide a proper reason. The campus provides good placements and the salaries range from 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs for recent graduates and this is for undergraduates.

Campus Life :

The fests are a great feast for the eyes. The library also provides a wide variety of books. Classrooms are clean and the classes are interactive. The societies at KNC have a wide range as well one thing or the other keeps on taking place at KNC so you will never feel bored.

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

6th-semester students are eligible to apply for campus placements. Companies like Bains and Co., KPMG, etc visit our college. Some are known and some unknown. I did not participate in campus placements as I decided to go for higher studies.

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.

Placement Experience:

Our college has JEET placement Cell. JEET provides weekly updates on new internships. There are too many opportunities. However my course, Psychology doesn't have placement opportunities as such as Psychology is a complex field that has yet to be Specified in Masters.
