Guide to IGDTUW

Dislikes

  • There is need for more hostel and difficult for day scholars to come so far
  • Shared campus with another DU college, so the common ground can be a little crowded

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course has a good pace. It is easy to grasp if you pay attention. College teacher's provided resources also for exams. There are 2 exams per sem, one midsem and one endsem. Apart from that you might get one or two assignments per sem. The course planned is completely relevant to the department and you also get many options to choose IT subjects also during the 4 years. The no of courses each sem is fixed by college and is good enough. They aren't too many in one semester so you will be able to manage the courses. Usually each sem has four to five courses.

Internships Opportunities :

Like placement, many internship opportunities are aslo available on campus from the second yr summer break itself. It depends on your will power and skills if you are able to crack these internship opportunities. Since girls college, many diversity intern hiring also happens. Rest assured you will be in good hands. You can take up many tech projects if you are interested in getting software roles like creating websites and ai/ml models.

Placement Experience :

The placement of IGDTUW is quite famous these years as many companies hire from our college. You will mostly see SDE or IT companies coming to college, however few Core companies also visit campus during placement season.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is approximately 1 lakh + per year. Haven't opted for hostel so don't know hostel and mess fees but i have heard it is nominal. There are multiple scholarship for those in need as well as academic achievement scholarship also

Campus Life :

During my first year the entire infrastructure was renovated. As for campus life and clubs, there are plenty of clubs and societies to be part of. There are cultural clubs for poetry, debating, dancing, singing, acting, etc. There are many Tech clubs also.

Admission :

I had given JEE main. Based on its marks and rank i met the qualification for Mech branch for IGDTUW. Later on due to empty seats in ECE , i was upgraded to ECE based on JEE mains rank only. You can fill the JACK application form to apply for these delhi tech colleges

Faculty :

The faculty members are well educated and have proper experience. They have good education qualification as can be seen on website of Igdtuw. They will clear your doubts and are knowledgeable and kind. They give many assignments before exams to help you out. They provide withbreading material also that are needed. They even conduct online doubt classes if needed. Most teacher in the ECE dept have master's degree in ECE Core subjects making them quite knowledgeable in those fields. All teacher definitely have btech Or bachelor's degree for sure.

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
