VIPS Pros and Cons of every department in the college

Dislikes

  • Till now still they say that they offer placements in engineering also. Well we will get to know next year about this. The only courses which are preffered is Law and Journalism and mass communication As they are the top courses VIPS Offer in the col
  • Next cons is even after there is placement cell in the college but it is not actively working. The college has an excellent reputation in the city but yet the college does not offer any placements as you need to get internships on your own.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is the main reason that influenced my decision as there are subjects which I liked in my first semester and gave me extra knowledge related to the subject. I also Studied accounts and management in first semester even as an arts student I gained knowledge about it. Got some problems but yes got resolved by the faculty.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, the fee structure is the main interesting thing about the college. As I am into law so the fee structure of the college is 1.33 lakh per year without hostel and I will consider it as an average fees, not too high because top notch NLU's offer the law course in around 3 lakh so VIPS has Delhi advantage and average fee structure which makes it a very good college for law. The college has management quota also 10% seats are reserved for them.

Campus Life :

Overall experience in campus life is very nice as our college host many fest in the campus as all department has their own annual fest and DJ nights also. Sports is there in our college but you have to participate in it as it is done outside of the college because ground is not that much big in the college. There are many societies and are active very much in the college.

Admission :

The eligibility criteria of the college is complex as after every round of counselling some query arise in my time but yes it was resolved by the management of IPU. The cutoff of the college through CLAT is around 15k (inside Delhi general) and 5.5k (outside Delhi general) because it is the second best college in Ip university. First is main campus itself.

Faculty :

As I told this earlier also the college faculty has top notch qualifications as they have done their graduations, post graduations, PhD's and all from National law universities and yes they teach very well and yes there are some teachers in every college whom you will not like as per your convenience, that is in this college also. But yes overall experience with the faculty is very nice as they are always ready to help you out in every condition. If any discrepancy occurs in internal marks they solve that problem also through contacting the CR's.

Other Applied Colleges

Ramjas College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English)

I didn't opted for this college because On the other side i was getting my dream course which is law in VIPS and on this side i was getting my dream college (North campus) but yes i preffered course over college and i am satisfied and happy with my decisi

Course Curriculum Overview:

LL.B course often makes you know the aspects of the Indian Legal System. It makes you aware of the Legal Philosophy and Jurisprudence in India. It makes one an aware and responsible citizen. This has influenced me to choose this course. In DU Law Faculty CLC we are taught through the Case Study method which is a unique method adopted from the USA. Moreover, we have our exams usually in a 4-5 month gap after 4 months of semester classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

LLB has always been considered as a noble and professional degree and due to that there is a large number of students taking admission in it. The curriculum running in the faculty is much more focused on the judiciary and litigation side and it prepares you very well for the real life scenarios. The improvements that the faculty can make is to also introduce a curriculum which can help in getting opportunities in the corporate sector as well. The exams are conducted twice a year in semester mode and the difficulty level is moderate.

The curriculum is quite advance and is relatable to the need of the real world. As the law is all about the practical knowledge and the application of that knowledge is the most important thing and the collage focuses on that pretty well.
