NSUT SUMUP

Dislikes

  • Official process is quite slow you have to remind the officials again and again to make your work done.
  • 75% attendance criteria is something which is disliked my most of the hostellers and day scholars also.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Seriously speaking course is little bit outdated. They teach us some content which is not relevent in this decade but they teach us because that is in the course and we have to study that because we have to pass the exams and get the degree. I'll suggest to include more relevent topics like machine learning in the course and some topics of finance as well because the current world is shifting in this direction so we also have to gain some skills in it. Talking about exam papers they take mid sems and end sems and they set particular criteria that you have to score above that and that criteria is different for different subjects mainly depends on the difficulty level of subject. Papers consits of mostly theoritical questionals from notes and PYQ's it's not that tough to score decent marks even if you start studying before one week of endsem.

Internships Opportunities :

I'm in first year haven't gone through the internship experience but as much I have heard from seniors that internship is mostly provided to women because of various programmes ran by the mnc's for hiring female interns. Many internships are unpaid also.

Placement Experience :

Placements of our college is a kind of average if you compare with it to IIT's but if you see placement of our college without comparing it then it is decent considering the the fees. In placement season most of the MNCs come to offer jobs. Highest package is around 1cr CTC offered by top MnCs and this type of offers are offered for 7-8 people only . Mean package is around 16 LPA CTC of our Branch.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As I'm a day scholar so I'm not aware of hostel fees but tution fees is around 2lakhs for 1 year. As NSUT is one of the renowened college in Delhi,So you can easily get a student loan from any bank. Financail aid is also provided to the students who comes from backward economic conditions. Internship season mainly starts from 3rd year where various MNC's such as Google, Microsoft comes and recruit interns in there company and pased on interns performance they may also offers PPO pre placement offers. Placement seasons starts from 4th year around Dec when more MNC's comes to college and recruit the finest minds of the college.

Campus Life :

Campus life is so far so good. It's been one year still whenever i go for college it feels the same enthusiam as it felt for the first day. The friends group and spending time with them is something I'm not gonna forget in my lifetime. There are various clubs in our college if you wish to join then you have to attend the sessions conducted by them. My personal advice if you are thinking of joining clubs and all then prefer hostel instead of day scholar . Sports and Academic Infrastructure is awesome. In sports you can play whatever you want without any restriction. And same goes with library you can study any book you want.

Admission :

For getting Admission in NSUT you have to get atleast 60 percentage in boards this is qualifying criteria adding to it you will get seat in college based on your JEE MAINS Rank. Reservations based on category and home and state quota are given. JEE Mains is not that difficult it is slightly difficult than CBSE boards but If you have good command over topics then you can easily crack it. Admission is done through JAC counselling in which you have to fill your choices of college and branch you want and based on the other students rank vs marks you will get your seat in college.

Faculty :

My branch is CSE and in first year 2-3 departments students have same courses. So our class consist of around 400 students depends on the subject. And there is one professor who teaches all the course contents and then they provide us the tutorials which we have to solve by our own and then discuss with the teaching assistants. Faculty's are mostly who have done PHD's from IIT's or any other premier institute of India having a deep knowlege in their respective subjects. But sometimes they are not able to make us understood the difficult points because of the old teaching methodology.' If we have to interact with teachers we can interact with them just after the class and even in the on going class. but they always prefer after the class. Apart from these we can also contact them through mail .

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
