Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is well designed in computer science courses with great focus on practical learning and assignments. At certain times during the semester, the pressure is too much but I feel this is what that makes IITians stand out among the crowd.

Internships Opportunities :

There are two types of internships offered to the students: i) Research: This has to be prepared for by the student themselves and the college does not play any role here. The students mail to numerous professors around the world for an intership and it is very easy to grab one due to the brand value of IITD. ii)Corporate: The placement cell organises an internship weekend in the start of the 5th semester where various companies offer internships in them. The highest stipends are provided by the quant companies and some even touch 40 lakhs for just 2 months !

Placement Experience :

The placements in IIT-D are the best in the country. IITD ranks the best in the employability category. There are many many companies offering jobs during the placement season and almost everyone is placed except those who go for higher studies or UPSC preparation. The circuital branches get the maximum number of offers but there are some placement issues in the core branches like Chemical, Civil and Textile.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The institute fee is 100000/- per semester, hostel rent is 12500/- per semester and the mess fee varies from hostel to hostel but they are generally around 30-35k. There are many scholarships being offered in the institute through alumni or foundations. They are being publicized via webmail and are intended for students whose family's total income does not exceed a certain limit, generally 5 lakh and in some cases 8 lakh per annum.

Campus Life :

The social life is very good. The college has a lot to offer, but a student has to be eager enough to gain that experience and always go for gaining new experiences. There are lots and lots of clubs and I am sure no student will be left behind saying that none of the clubs match his/her interest.

Hostel Facilities :

Now here comes the bad part about IITD. The hostels are overcrowded as hell. Although new hostels are being constructed, the number of students in the campus is far more than the seating capacity of the hostels. In my second year of college, I had to live in a single room along with a roomie. There is very little space available for us and we have to lear to do great adjustments in life. I think although it was seeming dangerous at the beginning but I guess that's how you bond with people and get to have a perfect engineering college experience.

Admission :

I was admitted through the JEE Advanced exam in 2022. Then, I had to go through JoSAA counselling and had to fill out a preference of colleges and branches in them. Although it was a tedious task for most of the students but I did not face any issue because I had a good rank in JEE(A) and so I was sure to at least get IIT Kanpur CSE.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is around 8-10 and they are well qualified. The course structure is also well planned but I feel that they are somewhat obsolete and indeed they are getting revamped from 2025. They are great at approaching too and some of them also refer corporate internships to their students via contacts.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITK] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I felt that IITD would be better for me according to college rankings.

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
