- Faculties are top notch. It doesn't mean that you'll like each of them but most of them are very passionate about their subject which will help you understand the subject in depth.
- Infrastructure is world class I must say. If not the best, it is certainly one of the best campuses in India.
Dislikes
- Campus is far from main city of Hyderabad.
- Campus culture is not too good for North Indians because of Telugu crowd.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Well mathematics is used in almost every engineering branch, so it was an easy option for me. The laboratories and workshops are well maintained and are updated on regular basis. And most of the courses have a lab assigned to it which weigh 1 credit. This help you fetch marks and you enjoy the practicals too. Some courses feel useless like Gen biology. I guess they should be optional. Teaching methodology is fine I guess except the exit tests. Difficulty level of exams are at par of what is taught in class so that's not an issue.
Internships Opportunities :
PS1 and PS2 are 2 paid internships which costs 60k each but many big compaies visit for these, so it's worth it. Stipend can vary from 5k to 100k per month as per you skillset. You will get what you deserve.
Placement Experience :
There are 2 paid internships each cost 60000 but you may get stiped too. PS1 is at the end of second year and PS2 is at the end of 3rd year. All the top companies that you can imagine in India come to campus. Avg package is around 14-15 lacks inclunding all branches and for CS it's 30 lpa. Highest last year was 60 lacs. 90+% of students get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees is pretty high for a middle class person like me but if you are serious enough, it's not hard to get a scholarship. Fee hikes are also frequent. I plan to complete my dual degree with a cost of roughly 18-22 lacs(after availing MCN) MCN scholership vary from 25% to 80%
Campus Life :
Campus life is decent here. All the fests are evenly placed throughout the year so you never feel burned out. Sports facilities are good, not the best but yah good. Classrooms are one of the bests in India. There is a club or department for every hobby or passion you have. If you are passionate enough, you can form yours too.
Hostel Facilities :
1st and 2nd year hostels are newly build and hence in very good condition. Pricing is also decent along with the mess food. Room have two lan slots, 2 whiteboards , pair of table, chair and bed and 2 almirahs.
Admission :
Application process is similar to Jossa. Application fees is on higher end(approx 5000 for both attempts) and then registration fees is also around 50000. Difficulty level of bitsat is a bit lower than jee mains. Syllabus coverage is the key to Ace it.
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio is pretty nice here. If you really want to learn, I promise every professor here will try their best to help you. Almost all the faculties have a Phd from either top institues of India or of abroad. I am telling you, don't doubt the faculties of bits, they know what they're talking about. For the first month, everybody studies but after that, nobody gives a damn. So most of the times profs are available. You can mail them and ask for their time. And yes, they will respond.
