- It is extremely cold and hot here in IIT bhubaneshwar
- The course structure for the 1st years is not properly defined
Course Curriculum Overview :
I feel the couse curriculum of Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshwar is very hectic and a lot of course content is useless according to me, like in 1st year we have too many labs which require intense work and I dont find any use of it if you are not in a particular branch
Internships Opportunities :
I am a first year student of IIT bhubaneshwar, so I am not much aware of the internship oppurtunities present here, but as it is an IIT if you got a decent resume you would get a pretty healthy stipend in your relative field.
Placement Experience :
As of now the placements of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshwar is decent. It is very good if compared to the tier 2 colleges and low when compared to tier 1 colleges. The avg package is 10lpa and highest is 64lpa as of 2023
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The overall fees for the 1st semester of Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshwar is divided into 3-4 categories that is the institute fee which is 1 lakh and then the hostel fees which is 18000 and then 30-40k of the remaining fees, I feel it is a bit high. There is a fee waiver if you have any reservation. You can go through the college website
Campus Life :
the infrastructure of IIT bhuabaneswar is very decent, it has many events throught the year conducted by the clubs and socities present in the campus, there are also 4 fests that happen in the campus, Wissenaire, Alma Fiesta, E-Summit and Ashva Medha, Check the institute website for more details
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel food of IIT bhubaneshwar is not that good and it would be the same in most of the hostels of India. We get a single room here with a shared balcony which is pretty decent. They provide chicken twice and fish once a week and there is paneer for vegetarians.
Admission :
To get in to the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneshwar we must clear 2 exams that is the JEE mains and JEE advanced , and here too the reservation benefits are present, JEE mains is of 3 hours and takes place twice one of which you have to qualify and JEE advanced is a 6 hour exam with a 2-3 hours break
Faculty :
Every faculty member present here is a Professor or an assistant Professor in their respective fields. The faculty to student ratio is very high, we get ample time to interact with the faculties and clear our doubts and they are also available after the lecture hours for some time
