Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as it includes both core and tech subjects so I have two options either to go core side or the tech (coding) side. The curriculum makes you mentally prepared to undergo any type of stress. I suggest removing attendance criteria so that students can focus on the field they are interested in. There is one midsem then internal and external viva and then midsem and the difficulty level is easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
You can apply for an internship from 2nd year onwards. Many companies such as JP Morgan, Amazon, IBM etc offer internships with stipends ranging from 50k to 1 lakh. It varies with the company offering internships. Projects can be made on web development, Android development, Machine learning etc which will play an important role in your internship.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements after 5th semester. Companies such as IBM, atlassian, texas instruments, JP morgan , Accenture, Adobe ,Amazon .639 offers were made in 2023 placements.Highest package was 52 lpa in 2023 and 8.9 average package. 80-90% of students get placed .After getting degree , I will try to learn more skills and gain as much knowledge as possible.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees have been constant since 2-3 years and do not increase frequently. The complete cost of education without any scholarship is 768000. There is a scholarship for students according to their parent's monthly income. For SC/ST category also there is 100% tuition fee concession. I am in my second year and I have not undertaken any campus employment yet
Campus Life :
Melange is the fest held here. January is the month in which it is held. The library is equipped with lot of books and students can issue them with their ID cards for two weeks. Also, there are semester books available. Classrooms are well furnished and most of the classes are equipped with ACs. Sports are also given much importance. Intramurals are held in which students compete with each other in so many games. There are also numerous clubs such as Natvansh saptak vista Tesla IEEE hackslash which play a very important role in enhancing students' personalities.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is poor. I am currently living in a seven seater room which is actually a 3 seater room. There are so many conflicts between the students residing in the room. If your roommate is cunning and knows well how to superimpose their thoughts on everyone then you are the one who will have to suffer. And this fact college doesn't understand. I'll suggest them to either give one or two seater rooms not more than that because it affects our studies to a much greater extent. Meal is also poor in quality and sometimes it doesn't feel edible. The hostel is allotted on the same day as physical reporting.
Admission :
You are eligible if you score the required rank and percentile according to your gender and the branch you applied for Jee 's application form can be found on NTA's website and from there you can fill out the form. You can avail reservation if you are from EWS /SC/ST/OBC etc. There are two JEE main exams and if you qualify in JEE main then you can appear for JEE advanced. Even if you score a decent percentile in JEE main you can get core branches in NIT Patna. For admission, you have to do physical reporting which occurs in college. Improvement area - they should announce the scan result at least 15 days prior to physical reporting.
Faculty :
Teachers are good and helpful, they insist students come up to them with whatever doubt they have. Even if there is less attendance they won't debar you unless it's too less like 20-40%. The teacher-to-student ratio is approximately 1:4.
