Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is great anywhere in India. There are very few colleges in India for Architecture whose curriculum is self sustained and they have many live sessions and collaborative studios with professional for the srudent's exposure. In NITT, they dont have any study trips or exposure to students.

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Very less campus placement available for internship. No college in india provides intership offers for B.arch graduates. So it is always students you directed apply and secure you opportunity. Professor and seniors always back you to secure the best option for you.

Placement Experience :

Compared to other architectural colleges where there is no placement, in NITT they have training and placement cell who train and aid placements for architectural students along with other technical students. There will be average 10-12 companies who visit the college and 10-15 students get placed average for 4L

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Central government institute fee offering course for 80k per semester is pricy. There is full fee exemption for SC/STs and half fee exemption for economically weaker class of students on providing income certificate.

Campus Life :

As architecture students you should not stop yourself from interacting with club, fest and sport teams. You have around 12-13k students to interact and learn somethings being a part of any clubs or fest. The management allocated funds for all these activities to motivate students.

Hostel Facilities :

You should be a hosteller if you are studying in colleges like NITT, its is a life to remember and take lot of memories at the end of your college life. Hostel space varies year to year from 3 sharing to 2 sharing and for PG, masters, scholars getting individual rooms. Both hostel and mess together you might be paying 35k per semester

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

I cracked JEE MAINS PAPER 2 and got into NITT, you can appear multiple times in JEE exams and eligibility is 12th grade completion. You should be good in aptitude, maths and drawing to crack the exam.

Faculty :

As its a central government college, there is no doubt the professors are well qualified and they are really potential to teach very well. But due to the administration hierarchy and politics among themselves, many enthusiastic professors lose interest in 2-3 year. And the government pay them huge salary which makes them settle for peace.

Me and my lovable college life?

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is mainly of design and digital stuffs. Like designing the interiors and exteriors and learning about the pipe lines, color palatte, need in a particular areas, Concepts etc. The course is totally practical with some theory. Exploring practical things is quite nice. Institute teaches practically. More trips and physical activities may be included for better emotional peace. More group activities can be formed so students who are lonely can mingle with others.

Think before you join in Kalasalingam!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum here was upgraded and was nothing like the old Anna University syllabus. The curriculum is well designed so that we cover all the aspects to be covered for GATE Architecture exams for those who would like to pursue a master's. We were not exposed to a lot of practical work and technical details during the due course. The exams are easy when you've paid attention in class and taken notes. most faculties do give notes before exams.

If you're patient and on a Budget, try this Uni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was very outdated in terms of what was being taught at other colleges at that time. It was nowhere enough to get industry ready. Most concepts dealt were very outdated and it lacked inputs of current standards, practices and improvements in the field. The curriculum can use a revamp, updates from the current scenario of the industry should be added rather than talking about outdated topics that don't get used in the present day. Exams were conducted at regular intervals, the difficulty was intermediate and faculties helped every single student in achieving a good score.

Remarks:

The college is affiliated to Anna University and is located in the valley of Perar. The level of teaching and the course structure is good. Campus life is awesome. Placements are bad though.
