- 75 percent attendance to classes is so mandatory that if sometimes not met will be taken serious issues
- Weather here gets so cold to go outside in winter
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course curriculum is at the top notch as it is an IIT. They teach so many new things and researches in IITs. The equipment for labs and research are highly advanced and very useful. The curriculum helps students to tackle real life problems with smart solutions. The teaching methods are so enthusiastic that students never feel bored and willing to know more by asking doubts. The teachers are too willing to teach students new things and making them part of their research.
Placement Experience :
From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements which takes place from November or December every year and continue till april or may im the following year. So many MNCs like google, Microsoft etc visit IIT Patna for offering placements to students. Considering past few years, the average package for overall branches lies around 25 lakh per annum. Highest package last year was 130 lakh per annum. Around 90 to 100 percent students get placed every year. I also want to get placement after getting the degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for the course is different for different caste students. As per Indian Government rules and regulations, all IITs follow the same rule. The students from general caste(OC) should pay all the tution, hostel and mess fee without any deduction. The students from OBC caste have to pay one thirds of their tution fee i.e., two thirds of the tution fee is waived, and they have to pay full hostel and mess fee. Finally the students from SC/SC caste have no tution fee and only hostel and mess fee. The tution fee is around 2.5 lakh per year and hostel plus mess fee is around 65 thousand per semester
Campus Life :
There are three main groups for clubs and fests in the college. The sports clubs, tech clubs, and cult clubs. The annual fest for sports clubs together is called infinito, for tech it is called celesta, and for cult it is called anwesha. There are many clubs under each of the group. Sports clubs consist of cricket, basketball, football, badminton, skating, athletic, volleyball, squash etc and many more clubs. Tech has clubs like atleast one club related to each branch. Cult has clubs related to dancing, singing, fine art, puzzle solving, designing, quizzes etc and many more. The college life is so much more interesting and exiting than expected.
Hostel Facilities :
There are four main hostels in IIT Patna. One is CV Raman hostel for fresher year boys only. Second one is Aryabhatta hostel for sophomore year boys and fresher year girls, but well divides between the two with great building seperation and high security. Third one is Kalam hostel for junior year and senior year boys which is pretty big. And finally Asima for all sophomore, junior year and senior year girls which is also large hostel. The hostel facilitates refrigerator, washing machines, many lifts, common rooms, tv room, and a lot of space for students. The problems in the hostels are also solved so fast when informed.
Admission :
To join IIT Panta, one should clear IIT-JEE ADVANCED entrance exam that is only for admissions into IITs. Any applicant have to clear jee mains inorder to appear for IIT-JEE Advanced examination. And for jee mains, there is an eligibility criteria, that is minimum of 75% of marks in boards examination of 12th standard or equivalent. we apply for the exams in their respective website with less amount of registration fee, appear for the exam and secure a good rank to get into IITs. The ranking system has some reservation benifits such as caste, genter category etc. The exam is once in a year with the highest difficulty in the level of Undergraduation.
