- i didnt like the wash rooms much, the wash room though cleaned daily but are kinda old.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have taken CSD program, its very good and highly relevent, and prepares you for the real world, and starts very early, we study advance topics like DSA in 1st year itself and dont have subjects that are not at all useful for us, the course curriculum is pretty good and little hectic based on the student but is managable, the test are conducted every month on average and are medium to high level based on the course.
Internships Opportunities :
i dont know much about the internship , i mean which company and all as i am still in the freshman year, so i cant comment much , but you get very good interships as seniors say so , but college encourage placements and help students , and student are indeed in big companies .
Placement Experience :
students will be eligible for placements from 4th year , companies like, apple, microsoft are famous, there are many other famous companies like, face book, google, amazon, and all the top companies you can imagine, they make very good offers, as we have around 99% placement record, highest is around 1.2 crores, and the least is around 20 lakhs for CSD branch, more detail on iiit.ac.in site, highest and least per company are not known to us yet, i plan to join apple, some aspire to startup too, they all are encouraged and are funded too.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the tution fee is 3,60,000 for 1st year and stay around the same the rest of the 5 year, increases at 8 percent or so every year, complete cost of education is around 22 lakhs fof the dual degree course a 5 year program, you can get student loan, or alumini fund which is that ur education fee si paid by a graduate and you need to help some other student after graduation, i am currently a student and there are opputunities of becoming a teaching assistent and earn 15k per month.
Campus Life :
there are so many fests going on all the time, competitions on music, dance , drama, comedy etc, famous events are FELICITY , which is held in january every year, we have a library which is open from 10 am to 12 pm, which has almost every book one can imagine, there are lots of fecilities in class room, and in labs specially, there are all sports except swimming, all are very good, our college do focus on sports a lot, as we keep seeing , inter college , inter batch, house competitions all the time. there are clubs for everything you can imagine, there are more than 20 clubs for sports arts, cinema , chess, anime, games, dancing , queer and what not, you can make your own club if you meet the requriments and get funds too.
Hostel Facilities :
there are 2 sharing and single sharing rooms, 2 sharing for the 1, 2nd year students and single sharing from there on , there is ethernet provided with 100+ mbps speed, and rooms are good too, there are 4 kind of messes , north , south, kadamb, yukthahar , for all kind of students, and students can choose anymess any time, all different for different meals, and all are very good, registration is same and done while paying college fee, quite affordable as its around 7k per month including mess and hostel, one must stay in the college hostels, which are inside the campus itself.
Admission :
You need to clear the UGEE exam, ther cutoff is around 100 /150, after clearing the cutoff, you will be interviewed and ranked based on interview for getting the seat, u need to get 70% or above in 12th boards, application form fees and dates are on iiit.ac.in website, no reservations , the exam UGEE will be held once every year and it easier than JEE mains, but test is different from mains, your aptitude is tested in the test and how well do you know concepts and apply them in real life.
Interview Experience :
there is an interview for the selection, forst you need to clear the cutoff in the written exam UGEE, after clearing the cutoff you will be interviewed , questions are of maths , physics , chemistry and apititude , and preparation is not required.
