- The atmosphere of the college good for computer science background
- Our campus is also very good not so big not so small. But looks like healthy campus
Dislikes
- Our campus is too far from the city so have to face transportation issues
- First year computer labs are too old now
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum for out Btech CSE is highly relevant and comprehensive from the first year they start to teach us good coding language like C and Python. Our curriculum is meticulously designed to prepare students for real world applications and further academic pursuits . Being in first year we mainly focus on python and C . The area where we need improvement is such as courses in data analytics and some training skills should be given as early . The frequency of timings of exmas are well balanced we got enough time to prepare for it for our mid examination as well as our end semester exam there are very minimum chance of having a clash in exam schedule.
Internships Opportunities :
As im in the first year I don't have enough knowledge about this . But i got to know from my seniors they are having internships in IIITs and some of them are in DRDO also . Professors help them a lot in getting the internships.
Placement Experience :
From the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement . Many companies visit our company like deloitte , amazon , dell , techmahindra. Highest package was 20lpa and average pacakge was around 5lpa. 90% of students get placed. My plans after degree are pursuing master and want to go in research field .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So basically the tution fees for our btech cse is 14-15 lakhs yearly wise there are little hikes not too much . For scholarships there are 3 ways one is either write GAT its GITAM's own entrance exam second is you can get on jee merit if you scored above 90 percentile and third is with tsmcet . As being the first year i dont have enough knowledge anout the campus employment opportunities
Campus Life :
In our college annual festival is one thats Pramana which held in February month and for technical festival there are many depending on the clubs hackathon , ideathon , electronic club event . The range and accessibility of our books and journals in library are decent. The facilities and technological provision are too good our classrooms are one of the best classrooms . Our college is very good in sports and extracurricular activities they use to play south zone. There are many clubs in our college depending on the work some are like technical field clubs while some foucs on arts such as dance and music . These clubs are good for students life as it will enhance their skills and interest.
Hostel Facilities :
In a four sharing room you will get almirah , mattress ,pillow and study chair and table if you opt for ac then only ac will be there other things remain same. The meal quality is too good and menu is well organised and every food items are unlimited and our hostel mess is one of the best in Hyderabad. Registration process for hostel is easy theres and website known as G-Pay where you have to login and go to hostel option and select the room type and pay the affordability is good for hostel but still the rooms are too old fashioned and small . If you have to rent a room you have to take it in rudraram or in lakdaram.
Admission :
For my time in boards you should have about 60% . You can find the application form on the Gitam website just write gitam admission form on google application form will cost around 1000-2000. I dont avail any reservation benefits. The exam level is decent not too tough and frequency and timing are well organised. I think admission process should have interview rounds also to evaluate the candidates problem solving skills
Faculty :
The faculties in our college are well educated in their fields and also have a nice experience of teaching . Many of our professors are in our college for the research purposes they also share their research experience which helps us lot in gaining knowledge. They are very interactive and friendly like our mentors. Mainly our professors have complete doctorate and the remaining ones completed the masters mainly from IITs and NITs . There are enough faculty .
