- 12 hour campus time is a really convenient thing. Students can make use of the library, indoor and outdoor gym facilities, sports areas etc. during this time.
- Cultural fest Dhwani, technical fest Drishti, arts fest Sargam are really awesome and the best in the state without a doubt.

- College canteen has less space. Although some new student convenience centre is in progress, the current facilities are limited.
- Buildings and other areas in the college are really old and needs renovation
Course Curriculum Overview :
The syllabus is mostly outdated and irrelevant in current industry and technology level. But recently the curriculum has incorporated newer technologies like 3d printing. So I wouldn't say it's completely worthless.
Placement Experience :
There are campus placement opportunities at CET for mechanical engineering but not enough. Also average packages are also pretty low. Companies like MRF, Daimler, Hyundai, L&T, Schneider, Royal Enfield, Balmer Laurie etc. are some of the mechanical core companies recruiting CETians on campus.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees per semester ranges from 3000 to 6000, different for each semester. The admission fee is around 10000 and exam fees vary between 2500 and 6000. If you get admitted to the college hostel, the fees are pretty low and even if you look for a private hostel or PG stays, mostly rent range is 1500 to 3000
Campus Life :
You can get a variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities within the campus as well as off campus. There are tons of technical and non technical clubs and I assure you even if you try to run away, you cannot escape from being a member of some clubs atleast. Campus Life as a whole is a strong point for CET and I bet you wouldn't regret about joining the institution.
Admission :
Inorder to get an admission to College of engineering Trivandrum, one needs to secure a fairly higher rank in Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance exam. Also they need to have a good score in higher secondary since the weightage given for higher secondary score and entrance exam score are almost equal while preparing the rank list. Inorder to get admission at CET for mechanical engineering, a KEAM rank of around 2500 or below would be enough. I had secured a rank under 1500 and a higher secondary score above 95 percent.
Other Applied Colleges
TKM College of Engineering - [TKMCE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
Placement opportunities are comparatively less
