Best college for research purpose

Remarks :

Just the thing that college is very strict for small things.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was good. They even modify it when they think its really needed for the future generation. They have very vast number of courses. From thermodynamics to bio mechanical engineering all courses are there. It was fun to take some good course in which we actually had interest.

Placement Experience :

Placement was good and average package of college was around 12 lacs per annum. Though for Mechanical people placement was a bit tough task but our college manages to place almost everyone at a good package

College Events :

We have Culturalfest called ZEITGEIST also we have technical fest ADVITIYA. Our cultural competency is at par with other old IIT’s. We do have BOCA board of cultural activities which manages everything from intra cultural championships to the cultural fest

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees was OKAY at our time but there has been a surge in fees for general students which in turn is around 1-2 lacs something but for backward class people our college doesn’t charge anything. Also, for poor people earning less than 4 lacs our college provide MCM support and also fees is way less than others

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I did not opt for scholorship or loan. At that time fees was not that much but, for those who want to avail it can do so by contacting IIT Ropar SBI and may get zero percent interest loan easily

Campus Life :

Campus life was very good everyone was helpful and try to promote each other through every means possible. They enjoy every festival together. Gender ratio was pretty bad. In my batch it was around 8 girls out of 120 total. You can imagine it is even less than 8%.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I opted for a hostel and it was a good experience. I would say the best thing I have done. Students get so much active when they stay in hostels due to competition. It also promotes team work by students.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our alumni network is increasing with time and there are alumnis working in some good reputed companies like google apple

Admission :

Well, Let me tell you the truth. I didn’t know what exacty is mechanical engineering. Since this is the branch which is according to my rank fits my profile which is why I had chosen this one. The selection process is through entrance exam JEE ADVANCED

Faculty :

We need to maintain 75% attendance in the college. There were around 4 lectures for a 4 credit course in a week. Every lecture was of around 45 minutes. Teachers are very impressive and friendly. They will always try to push the student for some extra to serve the industries in future

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good. Irrespective of the level of hardness the college provided the timing is only for 3 hours per exam no matter what difficulty level is. Sometimes, the college conducts online exams which happen for 3 hours in the form of mcqs and the test includes all the subjects at once which makes the students stressed out.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was doing bachelor of Technology in computer science. Starting from the classroom to the computer labs , everything is available and well maintained. You learn programming and languages with the help of faculty and for every student there is computer available with all equipments. In a week, there are 3 days of computer lab practice and 3 days for classwork. The professor tests and skills very often and if there is any inefficiency , he/she will help you to correct it. The curriculum at Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology is thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive education that balances theoretical foundations with practical applications. The courses are continually updated to reflect the latest advancements in technology and industry trends, ensuring that students receive a modern and relevant education. Each program offers a well-rounded mix of core subjects, electives, and hands-on projects that allow students to tailor their learning experiences to
