Course Curriculum Overview :
Branch Mathematics and Computing deals with maths and also computer science. The integration of these two is really helpful if you plan to go in AI or ML in future. This was the main reason I opted for this course. Though the academic stress remains quite high but one can balance between fun and studies. The exams are very frequently taken, we can't have a sigh of relief for more than a month. The level of exams too remains on a bit tougher side.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees here in IITs are very less as compared to other private colleges. Here the tution fees for 4 years is roughly 8 lakhs. Including other charges the fees only goes up till 2.4 lakhs per year which is roughly 10 lakhs for 4 years. Financial support is easily available for students who are economically weak. Many scholarship oppurtunities are there if someone wishes to avail them, he/she can easily avail them.
Campus Life :
Our annual cultural fest is Zeitgeist (in month of November), and tech fest is Adivitiya(in month of feb). Along with these, Aarohan(sports fest) , Revanche(esports fest) and Malhar(literature fest) are also there. The library has almost all the books we need during our courses and the other books like novels or biographies are also available easily. Sports activities are really good. Coach are very interactive, they take regular training sessions and almost all the sports equipments as well as courts are present.
Hostel Facilities :
Meal quality has significantly improved as compared to past times. The mess menu is also changed every month as per the demand of the students. The hostels are affordable. Including mess you have to pay only 16000 per semester for hostels.
Admission :
The mode of selection in IITs is mainly through JEE exam. First you need to qualify JEE Mains and top 2.5 lakhs (roughly) students are eligible for JEE Advanced. Then you need to perform well in JEE Advanced to get into IITs. The application form and other details are available on official site of NTA and JEE Advanced. The JEE Mains is 3 hours long whereas the JEE Advanced is (3+3) hours long (two 3 hours exam in single day and you have to perform good in both of them to qualify).
