Food provided in the hostel mess is the most disliked thing in the college.
The location of college is not that much good as very few places to visit in kurukshetra.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am pursuing Electrical Engineering and it is considered as one of the toughest branch.My main goal is to take tech job but got electrical (core) in councelling but the records and statistics shows that majority of the tech companies allows EE branch for their interviews. Although their is good scope for core enthusiasts like PSU and GATE.The core environment is good in the college with proper labs although they required some needy maintenance. There are 2 mid sem examination and a final end sem examination in a semester for each subject.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 37000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies come to our college to provide internship opportunities to students like Microsoft, LinkedIn ,etc. Microsoft offered 2.5 lakh stipend for two months. They take one test and a interview. But internship opportunity is poor in college generally.

Placement Experience :

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit our campus this year including Microsoft , uber, LinkedIn,etc . The highest package offered is 66lpa and average package for COE branch is 18 lpa and for electrical branch it is 14 lpa. More than 85 % students are placed in EE and 98% for COE and IT. And I am also planning to take tech placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fees for students having family income more than 5lpa is approximately 80k per semester but for students having family income between 1lpa to 5lpa is approximately 40k per semester. My complete fees is approximately 5lakhs including tution fees , admission fees and laptop expenses. Their are many government schemes for students for different states and loan facility for students also from different banks in the college premises.The campus placements are decent with average package for ee branch last year is 13 lpa . Although internship culture is not that much good and many students have to do intern for very low or negligible stipend.

Campus Life :

One cultural fest i.e Confluence is held once a year in October and one tech fest i.e Techspradha is also held once a year in the month of February or March. The books related to course are sufficiently available in library. Classes are well equipped with air conditioning and smart boards. And the sports culture is very good here in Nit kurukshetra with many courts and grounds for different sports like football, basketball, vollyball, cricket, badminton, athletics and many more . There is gym complex also in the sports ground . Their are many social groups and clubs for students to explore and have healthy senior interaction.

Admission :

I am pursuing BTech in Electrical Engineering in National institute of technology kurukshetra. The admission procedure is completed through JOSAA and CSAB councelling. The eligibility for admission is to score the minimum cutoff percentile in JEE MAINS exam. There are some relaxation in cut off marks for Reservation student as I have OBC-NCL quota and I got admission with comparatively high rank than general students in same course. The admission process is mostly smooth as it is done majorly online if the student have all the documents ready .

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placement after 4th semester and placement cell is very good, big companies like Tata, Amazon, Oyo, etc hire direct from our campus. Lowest package is 3.5 LPA and the highest package is 90 LPA and almost 70% student get placement.

Student are eligible for campus placements as soon as they enter 6th sem.There are around 20 to 25 companies that visit for IT placements .The highest package that Offered was from Service now 42 LPA ,Commvault also offered 34 LPA,and Ecolobs offers around 10 LPA ,Zscaler offers 21 LPA last year
