Remarks :

I got admission through josaa counselling on the basis of jee main score.josaa does allotment in 6 rounds after which one can also apply for CSAB allotment(2 rounds).jee mains is conducted twice in a year with a gap of of minimum one month.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Computer science is one of the most sort after after branch in the college due to its previous placement records.however coding culture on campus appears to be lacking in vitality.The faculties are well experienced

Internships Opportunities :

Campus dont provide much internship opportunities for first years.campanies start visiting the campus for internships mainly in the 3 rd year.summer internship is generally offered for 45 days during summer vacation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is made flexlible and varies according to annual income of parents.various scholarships are available like egrantz (for sc st students).There seems to be slight hike in fees every year

Campus Life :

There are number of clubs in nitc catering to various interests of students.However the campus fests had been cancelled for the past 2 years sighting various reasons.nitc was known for hosting one of the largest cultural fests in south india- ragam.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities and mess facilities for hirls are satisfactory.First years mostly share a room with 3 or 4 students while in 2nd year two occupants share a room.we have 4 messes in the hostel to choose from.

Hostel Fee : INR 82800 per year

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
