Course Curriculum Overview :
I was always interested in robotics and electronics is why I chose this course. My hometown is Jamshedpur which is also a benefit to me. The curriculum is like any other university and the professors teach fine. Every 2 months there are exams. Mid semester exam and End semester exam. There are a total of 8 semesters, 4-5 months each. We also have a smart screen and projector in each class for smart teaching. The toughness level of exams is high.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are really amazing here in NIT Jamshedpur. Big companies come on campus like Amazon, Atlassian, etc. Girls have really good opportunities as well, as they have a lot of programs that help in their internships.
Placement Experience :
The placements in NIT Jamshedpur is one of the best known facts all around. NIT Jamshedpur has one of the best placements on campus. People get really good placements off campus as well. This year the highest package was 90lakhs by a student in CSE.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My first semester fees was 122000 and 2nd semester fees was 105000. I am currently in 2nd semester. I believe the fees will be the same for the next few semesters. There is spike in fees every semester or every year depending on circumstances.
Campus Life :
As soon as we entered the college we had a welcome orientation for all the first years. Then we had CDS, Cultural Dramatic Society. It was basically seniors performing for us and to promote their cultural clubs. There are branch fests of each branch. Then we have the diwali night which is really grand. Everyone wears ethnic wear. Then we have Culfest which is our cultural fest. It's one of the biggest events in our college. Celebrities are invited to come as well. Then we have our technical fest called Ojass. Overall, every week has some sort of event.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is good. The girls have three seated rooms throughout the 4 years while the boys have 2 seated room in the first year and from 2nd year onwards they get to have the room to themselves. The mess facility is also good. Food is okay, could be better.
Admission :
I am a dasa CIWG student so eligibility is 60% in boards and a valid JEE rank. You can register in dasa site itself. The whole procedure is mentioned there in the site itself. The application fees was 62500Rs when I applied. There are two types of dasa reservation, one is normal and one is CIWG which is for the middle east students. There is reservation for the OBC and SC/ST.
