- Campus is the first thing I liked , a wide spread campus to explore is a big YES
- The overall infrastructure of our college is also good
Dislikes
- Less exposure to the other streams like MBA , MCA etc .
- Hectic class schedule specially for mba students
Course Curriculum Overview :
The overall course and curriculum is according to the industry standards you learn the same thing what you might learn in any other college but the only difference is , since it's a tech college hence you won't get much of Bschool kind of exposure you might be looking for . Otherwise the curriculum is up to date and faculty is helpful and kind aswell .
Internships Opportunities :
Yes college does provides internship opportunities however most of the students gets off campus internship therefore on campus internship data is not available and if students wants to avail internship from college then for that placement cell helps them getting a internship .
Placement Experience :
Our college does offers a campus placement and it is good in terms of ROI , you pay 3-3.5 lakhs for your complete MBA and you get 8 lpa or above salary on an average so it is quite decent if you consider ROI . However, yes we don't claim 100% placement. But from a batch of 40 students I would 20-25 gets easily placed from campus . Others might have to go for off campus opportunities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our college is quite affordable the overall fee for mba program is 190000-200000 ( academic fee ) and if you are opting for hostel then hostel plus mess charges combine with academic fee will go to 3.2-3.5 lakhs max for your complete Mba .
Campus Life :
My overall campus experience has been good , since it's a technical institute thus almost every fest or event are engineer focused quite obviously, but overall you get opportunities to explore and express yourself and you can take part in many activities, competition etc .there are many clubs aswell .
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is average and obviously since it's a government college you know some of the facilities are compromised and our hostel is one of them. However, overall hostel experience is quite good the only room for improvement is the maintenance and cleanliness of hostel ,that has to be taken care of . First year students are generally allotted double sharing rooms and in the second year you get single seating rooms .
Admission :
To get into NIT firstly you should have a valid CAT CMAT or MAT score . After that you appear for the GD round and then the PI. Then merit list are prepared accordingly. Cutoff usually varies but considering getting above 70 percentile to be a safe zone . And you may find the application form on the institute website.
Interview Experience :
The GD PI process was quite smooth and it was conducted on a same day . I don't really remember my gd topic , though I would say keep yourself updated with world affairs and other stuffs since it helps a lot . Other than that PI was also simple , general question was asked about your graduation, experience etc.
