Great atmosphere, great faculty, Excellent administration, Outstanding infrastructure, Great placements.

Dislikes

Bad food at hostels, no transportation provided by the institute authorities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is very diverse and relevant to the current trends in the growing technologies. Although the methods of teaching and evaulation is very old fashioned it still is relevant and holds well with the students, THe curriculm prepares the students for the real world experience. There is a scope of improvement. The frequency of exams is very high owing to the continous evaluation. The difficulty level is on hard for majority exams.

Class Size : 120Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There were many companies during the internship season. Some of the companies were Google, microsoft, amazon, JPMC, Goldman Sachs, Uber, Zomato, Swiggy, Paypal, Triology, media.net, cisco, optiver. The roles offered were SDE, summer analyst, QUANT research, consulant, Business anaylst. Stipend ranged from 75K PM 18.5 lacsPM.

Placement Experience :

Being the top college in India for decades, IIT KGP is a goto place for every company. Many companies believe Kharagpur as their dream institue for recruitment. We have a great placement cell. The placement percentage is very high. The numbers are available on the institute website placement report. Highest package is 4,00,00,000 per annum and the average package is 50,00,000 per annuum. I plan to go and bag a good package for myself.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is based on family income of the student. The tuituion fee would be refunded to the students with weaker economic sections. GEN OBC family income > 5lac Rs. 100000/- GEN OBC faimly income b/w 1 to 5 lac Rs. 33000/- Family income < 1lac Rs. 0/- Campus does not offer many campus employment oppurtunites. There are many student bodies that are functional though.

Campus Life :

There are 2 fests conducted on campus. Both are in single semester (even). Typically the fests are conducted in the month of January. The Library is very resourceful and helpful. It's the largest central library of India. There are many clubs. Sports have always been a part of the campus culture. The student protals are very impactful for the students.

Admission :

The eligibility for the admission process includes passing 10 + 2 with a 75% grade. Apply for JEE clear JEE mains and then get selected for JEE Advanced. Clear the cut off mark and apply for JOSSA counselling. You can find the froms in the official site of the IIT kharagpur insititure. Check for eligibility for Reservations based on caste basis. Exams are conducted based on daily basis as the course progresses. There are some areas for improvement in JOSSA process.

Review on Guru Nanak Institute of Technology from one year of college experience

Placement Experience:

Recession is going on since last few years and being a private college obviously that has affected placements in our college also. The current situation of placement is not really good. Among students from all branches which each may have like 150 students, only 20 something got placed on campus. It is said that companies like TCS, Capegemini, Wipro, Amazon, Zscaler etc comes to campus for hiring but most just come and don't hire. This year highest package was 26.5 lakhs by only 2 students from our department, CSE.

After 6 semester you will be eligible for on campus placement. But you can get internship offers earlier. The companies visited last year are Deltax, TCS research, zscalar, yellow class. Total 51 oncampus companies came last year. Highest package- 32lpa Avg package- 11.47lpa Last year placement percentage was 88.9% My plans after the degree are higher studies and masters.

Placement Experience:

The placement data of this college can be found on its site and if you work hard from your side the college will definitely bring in the companies and you will be placed depending on your skills.
