Course Curriculum Overview :

I liked electrical engineering and it is a very modern branch.The course. curriculum, in iit is very modernised and is enough to prepare you for the industry.The exams held in the couse curriculum are sometimes very difficult but if you pay attention in the class you can easily ace through them.

Class Size : 170Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Almost all the mnc like google, sprinklr, microsoft etc come to the campus for internships.The various roles offered are of software developer, data scientist, data analyst and many other core profiles are also offered.You need to have a good cgpa(above 8) to get an internship in most cases.

Placement Experience :

The pplacements of our college are just amazing.(Thats what the iits arte famous for)The average package foir electrcial engineering is around 26-28 lakhs per annum.Almost all the mnc like google, microsoft, goldman sachs etc visit for placements.More than 70 percent of the students get placed and many others go for startups and higher studies.Right now i have not decided yet what i want to do after my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee is around 1 lakh rupees per semester.However if you belong to the financially backward classes you can avail fee waiver.The complete cost of education is around 11-12 lakh rupees for the entire four years.There is an sc sp cell which provides financial aid to the students who are not well to do financially.

Campus Life :

The campus life is rwally good in iit.You get to explore so many domains and you can play almost any sport in the campus that too at a professional level.Also there are many technical as well as cultural club to improve your technical knowledge as well to groom yourself socially.Apart from this the cultural fest at iit roorkee is one of the best in the country.

Hostel Facilities :

I have chosen fo hostel facilities in the camous itself.The histel faciity is pretty good and you have to share your room with your roomate.The bathrooms ar ecleaned regularly and apart from that the food in the mess is also pretty nice.Obviously dont expect the food to be like the food prepared by your mother but its still okayish.Every studemt admitted in iit roorkee gets a room in the hostel campus.

Hostel Fee : INR 70000 per year

Admission :

You need to be 12th passed for the application process.You need to have a jee advanced all india rank of around 2100 to be eligible to take admission in this course.The application form,fees etc details can easily be found on the internet and the jee as well iit website.I belong to general category so i could not get any reservation.The jee advanced is held once every year and is considered to be the most difficult exam in the country.The best thing abiut iit is that the admission is merit based.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for Placement is semester 7 and 8 which is 4th year. A number of companies visit the campus including HCL foundation, ICICI Bank, Mother Dairy, Godrej agrovet Ltd. Etc. I myself am thinking of going into research field so i'll have to do further studies in the same field.

The placement shows quantity but not quality, in my batch 60-70% students were placed with a highest package of 5lakh per annum and minimum package of 2.4 lakh. As per fees of college the average package seems low.

This college has quite good placements for CS students. The average package of the college is 7 lpa which is quite decent. Last year the highest package offered was of 68 lpa at Palo Alto. Remarks:

I chose this college women institute of technology which is in Dehradun because it is the only government College which is for girls and it gives them technical knowledge. The college is funded by many government schemes which are very beneficial for us. We have different seminars winners from course in other things also to increase our soft skills as well as other skills. Hair in my 4 year experience I have learnt a lot a lot of things. We get free coaching for MTech i.e GATE classes and other employability training programs and that too free of cost.
