- College fest: fest in college are amazing, it features wide range of programs like music concerts, dance competition , fashion shows etc.
- Independence:many students enjoys the newfound independence and responsibility that comes from living away from home.
Dislikes
- College campus area: college is not that big in area so there is not much extensive resources and facilities.
- The food : food in my hostel was average and I think it could be better.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college curriculum has lack of relevance and there was overemphasis on testing and the content was outdated and there was a difference between things taught in class and skills required in industry and other drawback was lack of flexibility.
Internships Opportunities :
College provide internship to students in various companies like Uno minda, Suzuki , Britannia and many other various companies. I was also gotten internship in Sansera Engineering Pantnagar though it was a unpaid internship but I learn many things about industry and manufacturing.Most of the people were got unpaid intership.
Placement Experience :
The placement shows quantity but not quality, in my batch 60-70% students were placed with a highest package of 5lakh per annum and minimum package of 2.4 lakh. As per fees of college the average package seems low.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure was on a higher side and the colleage fees was overvalued as per college offerings. The average cost of 1 semester B.Tech mechanical fees was approx 1.1 lakh it may varries as per the scholarship ship slab, one with good grades enjoys low fees while students with bad grades faces high fees.
Campus Life :
Campus life was good with lots of fest and other activities going around in college throughout the year like grafest take place in end of may month and a lot of celebrities were invited at that time like badshah, divine, Neha Kakkar ,Urvashi Rautela etc during the time I was there. There was many clubs like sports, cultural which allow students to follow their interests and passion.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility was average, I stayed in Chandra Shekhar Azad hostel during my entire course the hostel was situated inside GEU campus so access to classes was fast. Hostel was only available in 3 person sharing per room there was no option for two sharing and single room in hostel inside GEU campus. The food was average and requires improvement, the food lacks diversity and options.
Admission :
Admission was process and I have taken admission on bases of class 12 board exam, admission process was quite easy there was not many people taking admission as there was Covid crisis and the cutt off for admission was also reduced from 75% to 70%.
Faculty :
The faculty-to-student ratio was good especially in other than B.Tech CSE and ECE as there was fewer students in other branches. The faculty credentials was good and some teachers was passionate also but some faculty don't teach with that passion and enthusiasm they just want to complete syllabus. Students and teacher interaction was good especially in mechanical branch and the bond between students and faculty was good.
