- I liked the infrastructure of the campus the most.
- The campus culture was very good and one can easily adjust in the campus.
Dislikes
- Mess food is a bit dissapointed but can adjust.
- I feel that campus is located in the far outskirts of the Hyderabad city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose chemical engineering in IIT Hyderabad because i really wanted to go to top 7 IIT's but later after many suggestions I included IITH also in the list as it was about to overtake IIT guwahati in terms of ranking and let's be honest who wants to take core job now a days so i chose a branch in which u get free time to get leartn other skills to get into the proffesion i like to go. The exams happens in segment basis. After completion of every segment there is an exam i.e. quizes, midsems,endsems.
Internships Opportunities :
MICROSOFT, JP MORGAN, GOLD MAN SACHS,etc,. The roles were mostly about to work on a project. The stipend that one get as an intern varies from person to person and from company to company. It ranges between 25k per month to 2.5 laks per month.
Placement Experience :
Placements of my college are quite good. People get interns mostly after their 5th semester and may even get PPO. Other than that after completition of 7th sem the campus placements starts. Many companies visited our college including the big ones like Microsoft,JP MORGAN,Gold man sachs,JIO,Zomato,etc,. The highest package was 90lpa and the average is 20lpa. percentage students placed is aroud 90. My plans after getting a degree is to do a high paying job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee for an year is rupess 3,00,6000/-. Which goes like this , 1st sem : 1,62,000/- and 2nd sem : 1,44,000/-. Their is no significant hike in the fee. One can avails various scholarships based on their eligibility. I have personally not availed any employement in the college but my seniors work as TA's and ge stiphened for that.
Campus Life :
MILAN : inter hostel competition (GC). mostly held in the month of september. DIESTA : inter departmental competition. Moatly held in the month of JANUARY. ElanNvision : The annual fest. Held in the month of March. We have a very big library with good access to majority of the books one can read. All class rooms are air conditioned and well maintained. We have a new sports complex which is one of the best in all of the IIT's. There are over 25 clubs in IITH. One can easily join the club of their intrest. Infrastructure is just the best one can find.
Hostel Facilities :
In the hostel room u get a bed,study table & chair, fan ,almirah. We have 2 mess in our college. One is new mess and other is old mess.Mess can dissapoint u a bit but u can adjust. Daily extras are present so that u can pay and take the extras during lunch and dinner. Registration process for the hostel is quite smooth will happen once u reach the campus.
Admission :
Admission process happened through josaa councling. To get into an IIT u should clear JEE advanced exam. U can find the application form in the jee advanced website if u have cleared JEE mains before hand. After announcing the results of JEE mains phase 2 they announce details regarding JEE advaced exam for those who qualified for the exam in their official site . JEE advaced generally happens in last 2 sundays of MAY or on 1st suunday of june. The admission process was quite smooth.Cutoff for the course i availed was around open CRL rank of 6500. My rank was 6270 in JEE advanced.
