Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses in computer science and engineering unlike old iits are aligned with present applications and practical usages and they keep on updating or a course might just drop and a new course following a whole new curriculum will be set in place for the students. The suggestion that we made for the new curriculum was implemented, so this gives us the students who tell the instructor what might be more beneficial for the students and if we mutually agree then its implemented. Thus a very flexible system at IITGN
Internships Opportunities :
The internships are followed in the month of July beginning from the coding round with interviews in the month of August after that we need to follow the instructions and then we can join the company and can follow through using the instructions provided by the company, if we are doing good then we can also get an placement offer from the same company The projects are defined by the company itself .
Placement Experience :
The placements are amazing, the average packages for each discipline is about 20 lakh per annum with highest package being 70 lakh offered by a japan based company. John jacobs, barcleys, atlaissan, Accenture japan are some of the major companies that visited in department of CS about 90 % of the students are placed for each discipline I am planning to get dual major in CSE and chemical engineering
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee per semester is 1 lakh and along with that we have laundry, mess and hostel fee which sums up to 1,46,588 per semester. For students having less than 5 lpa income they have tuition fee waiver and for students above that they have alumini fundings and reliance scholarship. There is an organisation called CCL where we can work and earn (in college)
Campus Life :
The experience is amazing The annual technical summit is called AMALTHEA (its amazing) and cultural fest is BLITCHCHRON (it also amazing) Technical summit involving Robo wars, Tech expo as main attractions and Blitchron involving involving synchronize and aerosol as main attraction The night is finally ended with a pronite where famous singers across India come to visit and we had a blast
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is very nice with well equipped with ACS and washing machines The mess is also nice with decent food The registration process and payment is done through IMS the internal website which is used to manage the hostel fee tuition fee and all other things like grade details and course add drop and mess feedback
Admission :
The admission is just like any other indian institution, IITs are known for its rigorous nature. As one of the premier engineering institution in India, IITGN attracts a large number of applicants from all over the country, all vying for a limited number of seats across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. For undergraduate you'll have to give some international olympaids for the typically IIT JEE Advanced exam. After JEE a six round counselling will begin and you'll get the college which you have filled (according to the priority list) The admission process is smooth and there is not to like you are selecting the college you want and according to the priority list you'll get one and depending on the final result it is ultimately our call to take admission or not
