Mess food is not that tasty most of the time and have to rely on canteen or outside food

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum includes core, and course related topics only and does not include mechanical or chemical engineering topics like in other colleges so I chose this course. the curriculum is designed in such a way that after 4 years the student will be benefitted by each subject he/she took as it cover industry related and in demand skills in present scenario and mid term exams are conducted every 1 month and end semester at the end of sem

Class Size : 140Course Fees : INR 320000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements at IIIT K are commendable students can sit for placements from 7th sem with cutoff of around 7.5 cgpa overall Highest placement offered is 58lpa and average is 14lpa and around 70-75 companies visited campus last time around 90 is average placement percentage overall including on campus and off campus placements

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

tuition fee is currently 1.1 lakh for each sem and it is almost same for all 4 years complete cost of education is 13.5 lakh including all charges and college helps in taking education loans but no scholarships are provided by management. In the campus students can apply and do interships but college does not provide any they have to look after it themselves

Campus Life :

Campus is full of lush green environment aiding for a peacefull time with modern infrastructural facilities annual fest apoorv is held in feb and adavya the tech fest is held in september. libraries have plenty of books and journals and students have access to many books online on college portal Sports and extracurricular activities are highly encouraged and supported by management recently college cricket team and batminton players qualified to inter iiit sports meet. clubs like litsoc, design club, marketing and outreach club, enigma the AI-ML club and many such clubs are run by students

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is provided by management and if we choose to stay at rented accomodation we have to take permission and hostels have all basic amenities in each wing with 24/7 emergency support the locality are kerala natives and all kinds of daily needs and ration are available in a town nearby which is 5km away from campus

Hostel Fee : INR 50000 per year

Admission :

I gave JEE Mains and got 95 percentile and choose IIIT Kottayam in counselling rounds it is conducted every year in 2 attempts and application form is available at its official website I did not avail any reservation benefits and admission process for course is simple

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
