Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as there is a high scope in Computer Science and it's trending overall. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:50 overall. For labs, it varies as there are many Teaching Assistants to help you. Most of the faculties have their PhD and almost all faculties have their MTech at various IITs. Teaching methods are good for almost all lecturers and all the other issues are solved through Class committee meetings held by the Department through CRs.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 7000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

We get almost all MNC's except Google and Microsoft. Those can be applied online as well. Placement Drive is very strict and fines are imposed if rules aren't followed properly.Interns highest stipend is 2 L.

Placement Experience :

As we are in Recession period,Placements are little bit low right now. As there are many issues now national wide protests and all. It has affected our placements a little bit. But most of the CSE Students will get placed.Average package will be like 21 lakhs before but now it's down to 17 or something due to recession.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for me are low as I got a scholarship from govt. The fee structure is available on the college website. You can refer to it. I also get a scholarship from NSP. 10K for 1st year,12k for second year now. That's it

Campus Life :

We have our technical fest 'Tathva' and cultural fest 'Ragam' here. Tattva usually happens in the second half of the year whereas Ragam happens in the first half of the year. The library is vast and good and there's study space also and we also have an e-library. Classrooms are non-AC and labs are Air conditioned.

Hostel Facilities :

Our rooms are basically not air-conditioned. Hygiene is well maintained.Washrooms are cleaned everyday. Messes are optimal.Some messes are good and some messes aren't that good. Registration process for hostel and all is quite easy now.An application is maintained for NITC students for all hostel activites.

Hostel Fee : INR 67000 per year

Admission :

Jee mains exam is the eligibility exam. My Rank is 7370 open and 1312 in OBC .You can find other details from NTA website. No improvement needed in admission process, Everthing is fine. Good College overall.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
