Course Curriculum Overview :

To be honest.I choose this course as it is the available course in top 5 NITs within my JEE cutoff rank.There are 1:5 faculty student ratio.All the faculty are well qualified in their respective courses.Term exams are divided into mid sem and end sem which are conducted in a span of 5 months and its not such difficult to get pass in term exams but its difficult to secure good grade and cgpa in exams

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 147000 per year

Placement Experience :

from 3rd sem students are eligible for placements and internships almost all well placed companies visited like google,microsoft etc.. highest package is 68 lakhs for cse branch and average package is 20 lakhs for cse 80% students are placed

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As i dont deserve any reservation i need to pay 147000 as academic fees and 66000 as hostel fees per year.It would be better if there is decrease in fees structure for students whose parental income is in between 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs

Campus Life :

Campus life is far better than expected with two fests RAGAM (cultural fest) and TATHVA (technical fest).Required books are available in library.sports and games are well appreciated with inter department,inter nit tournaments.All clubs are run by students like:CP HUB,CEA

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are comfortable to 2 students with cots,chairs,tables wifi for every room mess is not bad as iam from other state food items looks different and not such likable hostel fees is of 33000 for six one semester

Hostel Fee : INR 33000 per year

Admission :

i joined national institute of technology calicut by successfully qualifying in jee mains exam with 95 percentile and 45k all india open category rank which is cutoff rank for securing civil branch in NIT Calicut.It would be better if there is no reservation of seats based on category.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
